Yesterday, Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, marched on the nation's capitol and in other simultaneous rallies across the nation in protest in high taxes, excessive spending and nationalizing our health care. Of course, there were other reasons people marched, but theses were the three biggies.
Here is a round up of coverage of the national march, followed by coverage of the Tea Parties that were held across the nation yesterday by those not rich enough to spend hundreds of dollars to visit Washington, DC or did not want to ride on a cramped bus for a dozen or more hours.
9-12 March on DC
Lefties will try to convince us that there were no where near as many people as there were in Washington, DC yesterday. I had a guy that was continually trying to counter what I was tweeting and offered up a ludicrously low number like 60-70 thousand. Then, I did a little searching around and found that other Lefties were doing the same thing on blogs, Twitter, and other forums...all with the same number. I suppose they got got marching orders of their own and set out in a disinformation campaign. Fine. Here are some accounts of the numbers from various sources:
Up to two million people marched to the U.S. Capitol today, carrying signs with slogans such as "Obamacare makes me sick" as they protested the president's health care plan and what they say is out-of-control spending.
The line of protesters spread across Pennsylvania Avenue for blocks, all the way to the capitol, according to the Washington Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency.
People were chanting "enough, enough" and "We the People." Others yelled "You lie, you lie!" and "Pelosi has to go," referring to California congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.

Debate Over Tea Party Protest Numbers Masks the Real History Made
Or course, the Washington Compost put the figure much lower, at "tens of thousands".
And there is the curious (but sad) case of dementia as exhibited by Charles Johnson and his evil minions at Little Green Footballs. They insist on going with the 60-70k figure.
Here are a couple of handy maps from the Washington Compost on estimating crowd sizes in the mall area.
So, based on photos published, I think we can all agree that there were at least 400,000 plus in the mall area...
Here is an iPhone Photo Essay that has many good photos of people and signs.
Tea Parties
Today was another great day for democratic participation in America. The phenomenal news for September 12th was the awesome show of grassroots patriotic action in defense of liberty. London's Daily Mail reports that upwards of 2 million people marched on to Capitol Hill today. I was unable to travel to Washington, like so many others, of course. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to attend a great rally today at the U.S. Federal Building in West Los Angeles. I suspect roughly 2,000 people attended, although another estimate places turnout at 3,500.
