Monday Morning Blogburst:
The Van Jones Resignation Edition

Here is what is in the news and blogosphere from this weekend, with a focus on the Van Jones resignation and a sampling of what Lefties are up to in their efforts to destroy America and Western Civilization:

President Obama's Green Czar Resigns

The resignation early Sunday of “green jobs” adviser Van Jones says as much about the Obama White House as it does about Jones – marking the latest sacrifice to the political gods after a long summer of compromises and surrenders highlighted the limits of White House power.

The departure – nominally the choice of a still-defiant Jones, who said he feared distracting from important business – confirmed Obama’s choice of pragmatism over confrontation and a belief that controversies sometimes are better solved by capitulation, a view that infuriates Obama’s allies on the left.

It confirmed that the real opposition party to Obama right now is the conservative grassroots that draws its energy from
Fox News, talk radio and the Drudge Report, and often leaves Republican elected officials scrambling to catch up.

And it was a fresh reminder that the
White House’s vetting process didn’t fall down only on high-profile nominees like Tom Daschle. It barely touched the lower reaches of the administration – a White House official conceded Sunday that Jones’ past statements weren’t as thoroughly scrubbed due to his relatively low rank. Jones’ selection also was propelled by powerful patrons, who included the first lady and the vice president.

I note that White House officials are still trying to distance the despicable Van Jones from President Obama...even going so far as to offer up the First Lady and the Vice President as potential fodder for running "under the bus". Nice, huh? Everyone is expendable in the effort to save President Obama from his stupidity.

And, right on cue, enter Keith Olbermann...

Keith Olbermann Declares War on Glenn Beck
(from Olbermann's Diary on Daily KKKos)

Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer Burguiere, and the chief of his tv enablers, Ailes (even though Ailes' power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony "truce" push).

This becomes necessary after this in order to prove various cliches about goose and gander, and to remind everybody to walk softly and carry a big popsicle, and most particularly to save this nation from the Oligarhy of The Stupid.

I keep wondering if somewhere somebody named Ollie Garhey thinks he's in charge now. Or, even more entertainingly and societally satisfying, if somebody named Ali Garhi does.

Despite the worn-out snark above, I am in earnest here.

Glenn Beck Statement on resignation of Van Jones

The American people stood up and demanded answers. Instead of providing them, the Administration had Jones resign under cover of darkness. I continue to be amazed by the power of everyday Americans to initiate change in our government through honest questioning, and judging by the other radicals in the administration, I expect that questioning to continue for the foreseeable future.

The blogger who runs New Zeal was interviewed regarding the Van Jones story on Blog Talk Radio, and here is the episode below:

World Net Daily claims a piece of bringing down Van Jones

It was the dogged reporting of WND's Jerusalem bureau chief who brought down the first high-ranking member of the Obama administration. And despite all the chatter you've seen and heard about this story, not one major competing news outlet has even bothered to invite Klein on to discuss the Jones story.

In April, Aaron Klein, Jerusalem bureau chief for WND.com, broke the first major story on Jones who was identified as a self-described radical communist and "rowdy black nationalist" who said his environmental activism was actually a means to fight for racial and class "justice." That was followed by many other revelations from WND about Jones: (read more at the link below)

I'm skeptical of the veracity of this claim. But, hey...success has many fathers and failure is an orphan.

Communism in our Schools

Tonight I had chance to listen to Bruce DuMont's radio show and heard the story of how teachers in one school confiscate all the children's school supplies (and in this case even lunch boxes), put them in a pile, and everyone takes turns coming up and taking what they want, whether the parents like it or not. A guest on the show, Erika Brees, Heartland Regional Director for College Democrats of America, defended this action saying that "it's an important lesson that people learn to do with less so others can have what they need too, and if the parents aren't willing to teach that, I think it's good that the school does."

Michal Moore's New Film Declares All-Out War on Capitalism

Capitalism is evil. That is the conclusion U.S. documentary maker Michael Moore comes to in his latest movie"Capitalism: A Love Story," which premieres at the Venice Film Festival Sunday.

Blending his trademark humor with tragic individual stories, archive footage and publicity stunts, the 55-year-old launches an all-out attack on the capitalist system, arguing that it benefits the rich and condemns millions to poverty.

"Capitalism is an evil, and you cannot regulate evil," the two-hour movie concludes. "You have to eliminate it and replace it with something that is good for all people and that something is democracy."

And now, I turn my eyes toward the local lefties in western North Carolina, making an exception to include the progressives at BlueNC (progressive is the modern-day codeword for communist)...

The Mills River Progressive is engaging in a favorite past time of Lefites...mocking the average American...especially if they shop at Wal Mart.

Progressive Errington Thompson of Where'e the Outrage? is salivating over the possibility of finally seeing John Ashcroft convicted of something. Errington's Bush Derangement Syndrome is still uncured.

The Progressives at BlueNC posted a piece entitled (full Lefty snark alert), "God bless America, and North Carolina, too" and the commenters take it as a free-for-all to launch their own snark-laden attacks on things that normal Americans hold dear.

Okay, enough with that. Here are links to other articles I found interesting.

That's all I have for now.
