Cecil Bothwell is a candidate [campaign website] in the Democratic primary to represent the 11th congressional district of North Carolina and he has been holding a series of Town halls across the 11th congressional district sharing his political platform, answering questions from people and encouraging people to join his campaign. Last night, he was in Franklin, NC at the Macon County Library meeting with voters. This was the first event held after the announcement of the impending retirement of Congressoman Heath Shuler at the end of his third term in January 2013. I got Cecil Bothwell's reaction to that on video [see it here] as well as recording the entire Town Hall. My original intent was just to get his intitial statment and introduction, but found the whole event interesting enough to post online.
The light at these events that take place after dark makes it hard for me to be able to take what I consider good photos. Here are a few of the ones I took that are okay enough to post:
