In the wake of Governor Bev Perdue's announcement that she would not be running for a second term, specualtion has run rampant on who would take her place. So far, Congressman Shuler and Erskine Bowles have been among the prominent Democrats to consider, then reconsider running for that office.
Yesterday, former Congressman Bob Etheridge announced his interest in running for governor of North Carolina. Etheridge lost a bid for reelection in November 2010 in a wave of victories fueled by Tea Party activists across the nation...in Ol' Bob's case, he didn't do himself any favors when he assaulted a student who was attempting to get him on camera for a school project. Below is a video I made from two different camera angles of the incident, and I thought I'd reprise it to show people how clueless Etheridge is, and his disregard for other people...
