Murphy – U.S. Rep. Heath Shuler (D-N.C.) will not be able to attend the Cherokee Scout's 2008 Political Forums on Thursday.
Shuler is being called back to Washington to vote on the proposed Wall Street bailout plan, his campaign manager, Andrew Whalen, said Wednesday morning.

However, Mumpower hopes Shuler will open the door to other face-to-face opportunities to debate.

David Brown, publisher of the Scout, said the local newspaper hopes to reschedule the U.S. House forum for later this month.

I wish David good luck with that. By avoiding all opportunities to debate until mere days before the election tells me that Congressman Shuler just might be afraid of Carl Mumpower.
