LAUREL, Miss. -The largest single-workplace immigration raid in U.S. history has caused panic among Hispanic families in this small southern Mississippi town, where federal agents rounded up nearly 600 plant workers suspected of being in the country illegally.
One worker caught in Monday’s sweep at the Howard Industries transformer plant said fellow workers applauded as immigrants were taken into custody. Federal officials said a tip from a union member prompted them to start investigating several years ago.

Well, it appears that the feds are FINALLY doing something about Illegal Immigration. I just hope that they continue arresting illegal aliens for being in this country illegally, and that they are prosecuted for felony identity fraud.
Now, some 600 jobs will be available for out of work Americans.

"This is probably the largest single site target for law enforcement," Immigration and Customs Enforcement Communications Director Barbara Gonzalez said.The number of alleged illegal immigrants detained in a raid Monday at Howard Industries has nearly doubled, and could go higher, according to officials. They now say there are 595 suspected illegal immigrants.
About 475 people have been transported to the ICE detention facility in Louisiana.

I think the thing that has set off Homeland Security and ICE to the enforcement of our laws is the movement of Hezbollah into Latin America. It would be easy for them to move operatives into the USA.
