As it stands now, the Macon County Republican Party will be holding off selecting a successor to the seat Jim Davis held on the Macon County Commissioners until after the County Board of Election Canvass on this coming Thursday. They have until 30 days after the election to make a selection, or the Macon County Board of Commissioners will select someone to fill the unexpired term of Jim Davis.
