First, the GOP Numbers:
- Huckabee..........28% (30)
- Romney.............28% (26)
- McCain...............12% (12)
- Thompson..........12% (10)
- Paul.....................9% (7)
- Julie Annie..........7% (8)
These numbers show three tiers of GOP Candidates: the 1st tier of Huckabee and Romney; a 2nd tier of McCain and Thompson; and a 3rd tier of Paul and Julie Annie.
And nearly 300 other candidates below that tier.
That is not including people like this guy, who lives about 4 miles from my house. (I really should get out and see if he'll let me interview him and place the video on You Tube). I have attached a photo of his book at the bottom of this post. It is mildly NSFW.
Now the Dems:
- Clinton....... 28% (30)
- Obama.........28% (26)
- Edwards.......26%(25)
- Richardson....7% (5)
- Biden.............4%
- Dodd..............1%
- Kucinich........1%
I wish the GOP had that rule, so the fringe candidates below 15% couldn't claim any type of "victory." Also, I bet the Pauleroids would whine about that rule, too.
You can read the poll results at Reuters.
I am also reading several Ron Paul Forums for some nuggets on the dropping of fringe candidates from the televised debates.
Among my favorites are "Boycott Fox News!" when I'll just bet you that most of them don't even watch Fox to begin with!
The bad thing about trying a boycott is that if it doesn't make itself really felt by the target...you lose any credibility as a threat to their business, and the target can safely ignore you in the future.
