Weather Forecast for Sunday, August 22, 2021

Here is a truncated weather briefing for Macon County.

Outlook

An upper-level trough will help kick off another round of afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms today. Drier and hotter conditions are expected Monday and Tuesday as the upper ridge replaces the trough. The upper ridge over the western Atlantic will control the overall weather pattern by the middle part of the week, but daily showers and thunderstorms should prevail Wednesday through the end of the week.
