GENERAL OUTLOOK
Drier conditions returned last night as high pressure builds into the region. Warmer weather returns on Tuesday with dry conditions persisting over the area. Warm temperatures will linger through the workweek despite a weak cold front tracking across the western Carolinas on Wednesday. This front may lead to rain showers along the Tennessee border Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Whitmire PARTF Public Input Meeting (04-18-2024) | Macon Media
On Thursday, April 18, 2024, the Town of Franklin held a meeting to solicit public input on an inclusive playground on the Whitmire Property that would be partly funded by a PARTF (Parks and Recreation Trust Fund) Grant from the State of North Carolina. This is video from the first few minutes as the Franklin Town Manager and Franklin Planner introduced the project to those present at the meeting.
The PARTF Grant being applied for is for $500,000 and Phase One of the project is estimated to cost $1,500,000. The total cost of the project will be around $8.5 million.
