GENERAL OUTLOOK

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop across the area this afternoon and evening. The main threats will be from frequent cloud to ground lightning and torrential rainfall. However, a few storms could briefly become strong and produce isolated gusty winds. In addition, excessive rainfall could occur in isolated locations, resulting in flash flooding of streams and urban areas.
