**Budget Note** Yesterday, the NC Senate voted to override the veto issued by the Governor of North Carolina, as had the NC House, and HB200 became law. I have embedded it below for you to read or download.

The North Carolina General Assembly is currently preparing to recess until the middle of July and here is the schedule for today. There are no committees meeting today, only sessions of the NC Senate and the NC House are currently scheduled after a Press Conference by the leaders of the NC House and NC Senate.

Early this morning, the NC House voted 73-46 to override the Governor's veto of the state budget. All five conservative Democrats who previously voted to pass the bi-partisan budget reaffirmed their vote early this morning. The bill now goes to the NC Senate, where there is also a veto-proof majority for this bill. [See history of votes on the bill] Here is a short video from WRAL of that after-midnight vote:
