A moist cold front will cross the region today, bringing rain and thunderstorms with it. In the fronts wake, dry high pressure will overspread the region and persist through the work week. Another moist cold front will likely affect the forecast area over the weekend.

TODAY Rain Chances Increase

Patchy fog in the morning. Mostly cloudy skies with highs ranging from the lower 50s at the higher elevations to the mid to upper 50s in the lower elevations. Calm winds early, then increasing to 5 to 10 mph out of the south in the morning hours. Rain chances will increase from 10% at 6 am to 25% at 10 am and to 50% at 4 pm and them 60% at 6pm. Rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are expected.

TONIGHT Rain and Thunderstorms

Cloudy skies with lows dropping to the lower 30s at the higher elevations and near the mid-to-upper 30s in the lower elevations. Winds 5 to 10 mph out of the southeast, then shifting to come out of the west after midnight. 80% chance of rain with rainfall amounts of between half and three-quarters of an inch possible. More is possible in locations that get hit by a thunderstorm. The greatest chances of thunderstorms is between 8 pm and 1 am.



TUESDAY Sunny and Windy

Mostly sunny skies with highs ranging from the lower 40s at the higher elevations to the upper 40s in the lower elevations. Winds 10 to 15 mph out of the west with gust in the 25 mph range. The strongest winds will be crossing our area between 10am to just after midnight....peaking in the late afternoon between 3 pm and 5 pm.

TUESDAY NIGHT Windy and Cold

Partly cloudy skies with lows ranging from near 20 at the higher elevations to the mid-20s in the lower elevations. Wind chills will make it feel from 5 to 10 degrees colder at times. Winds 10 to 15 mph out of the northwest, gusting into the 20 mph range.



WEDNESDAY

Sunny with highs ranging from the lower 40s at the higher elevations near 50 in the lower elevations.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Mostly clear skies with lows ranging from the upper teens at the higher elevations to the mid-20s in the lower elevations.
