OUTDOOR BURNING NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY
A Wind Advisory is in effect for Macon County until 10 am today and relative humidity levels will be below 30% for most of the day and below 20% between noon and 6 pm and winds will generally be brisk out of the northwest this morning and between 5 and 10 mph this afternoon with occasional gusts in the 20 mph range, so outdoor burning is not recommended.

Smoky Mountain District is on a 2-hour delay.
Blue Ridge is on a 2.5-hour delay (B-Schedule).

Outlook
A broad area of dry Canadian high pressure will remain over our region through Thursday, before drifting out over the Atlantic. A vigorous cold front will then approach the forecast area from the west early Sunday, bringing another round of widespread precipitation to the county. High pressure will spread back over the region in the front`s wake.

A wind chill advisory is in effect in Macon County, mainly for locations over 3500 feet. If you plan on being out and about this morning, bundle up because it is cold and a little windy below 3500 feet, too.
