Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening. One or two of these storms could become strong to severe, with isolated damaging wind being the main threat.
Additionally, any storm which develops could produce heavy downpours, resulting in isolated flash flooding, especially over the Piedmont and Foothills of North Carolina.
