Hazards and Tropical Weather
Hazardous weather is not expected today. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening ahead of an approaching cold front. There is a marginal risk of severe storms, with damaging winds being the primary threat. A few storms could also produce hail as large as quarters. Any thunderstorm that develops will produce cloud-to-ground lightning, gusty winds, and locally heavy rainfall.
More numerous showers and embedded thunderstorms, with locally heavy rainfall, will develop Sunday through Tuesday. Isolated flooding will be possible each day in areas affected by multiple rounds of showers and storms.
