GENERAL OUTLOOK

Dry high pressure will build in from the northeast today with rain chances confined mainly to the mountains. Moisture works back into the area from the southeast on Thursday with isolated to widely scattered daytime storms possible. Heat and humidity will increase into this weekend and early next week with dangerous heat indices possible. The greatest chance for afternoon storms will remain over the mountains with just isolated to widely scattered coverage elsewhere.
