GENERAL OUTLOOK

The heat wave will gradually abate through Thursday, with temperatures returning to around normal by Friday. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected each day through Friday, mainly from mid-afternoon through the evening. A cold front will bring some much-needed relief from the heat in the form of below normal high temperatures this weekend.
