Weather Hazards
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 7 am this for freezing rain that may lead to hazardous driving conditions on your morning commute. Please be careful and treat all roadways as if they're going to be icy and drive with extreme caution. Heavy rainfall is expected to arrive this afternoon and last through Thursday morning. There will be potential for flooding in the usual locations and roadways could be flooded with runoff and standing water where drainage is poor or inadequate for heavy rains. Use caution and drive slow in those areas to avoid hydroplaning.
Windy conditions are likely this afternoon and overnight, especially at elevations above 3500 feet. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible tonight. Rainfall totals should reach 1 to 2 inches in most locations, with 3-inch amounts expected along mountain slopes with southern exposure. The heavy rain falling on moist ground could produce isolated flooding in flood-prone areas tonight into Thursday.
A copy of the Winter Weather Advisory is posted below.
