The first major snowfall of the winter season fell yesterday, with local accumulations ranging from 3 inches to 8 inches in most places with a few locations receiving more.

TODAY Winter Storm Warning Extended Until Noon

Areas of freezing fog this morning, cloudy with decreasing clouds becoming mostly sunny by noon, then increasing again to become mostly cloudy in the late afternoon. Highs ranging from the upper 20s in the higher elevations to the lower 30s in the lower elevations, although wind chills will make it seem 5 to 8 degrees colder than it actually is. Winds 10 to 15 mph out of the northwest. 70% chance of snow, with additional accumulations of 2 to 4 inches possible.

TONIGHT Cold and Windy Dangerous Wind Chills Overnight

Mostly cloudy early in the evening, becoming partly cloudy by morning. Lows in the low to mid-teens with wind chills making it feel like the single digits in places. Winds 15 to 20 mph out of the northwest, gusting to a brutally cold 35 mph.



SUNDAY

Sunny with highs ranging from the upper 20s in the higher elevations to the mid-30s in the lower elevations. Wind chills will make it feel like it is below freezing. Winds 10 to 15 mph out of the northwest.

SUNDAY NIGHT Cold and Windy with Dangerous Wind Chills

Mostly clear and brutally cold with temperatures in the teens in the upper elevations and the lower 20s in the lower elevations and wind chills making it feel even colder. Winds 10 to 15 mph out of the northwest.
