FEET. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY HAS ALSO BEEN ISSUED. THIS WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 7
PM EST THURSDAY FOR LOWER ELEVATIONS.

MOIST WEST TO NORTHWEST FLOW...AND COLD TEMPERATURES MOVING IN
BEHIND THE COLD FRONT...WILL COMBINE TO PRODUCE SNOW OVER THE
NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS TONIGHT AND THURSDAY. BY THE TIME SNOW
TAPERS OFF LATE THURSDAY...2 TO 5 INCH SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE
EXPECTED. HIGHER ELEVATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO SEE 3 TO 5 INCHES OF
SNOW...WHILE VALLEY LOCATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO SEE 1 TO 2 INCHES.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW
ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
