Michael Steele Acceptance Speech

I am filling in for Thunder Pig this weekend as he takes the weekend off.

I am a member of his social network Conservative Thunder. 


The election of Michael Steele as the new party chairman bodes well for the future of our party.

What, now we go and find our own "magic Negro"?

This is a very, very sad day for America. The election of Steele proves that the Republican party will not go in the direction they need to for the sake of our country. They can expect to be in the minority for quite some time to come.

Are you a true conservative or just a kool aid drinker? If you are a true conservative then you would listen to what this other true conservative has to say about him.

He's a RINO. On that we can be clear. This proves that the Republican Party's move to the Left might be a permanent legacy of the Bush years.

The final vote was between Dawson and Steele.

Steele is a better choice than Dawson, who would have been an unmitigated disaster for our party.

The best thing I can say about Steele is that he understands the importance of using technology.

Baby steps. In politics, no one ever gets 100% of what they want...unless they are prepared to kill off everyone else with an opposing view.

I am interested in hearing TP's take on it when he returns.

Don't listen to "greg". He posted the exact same comments on my blog and on Civitas' Red Clay Citizen. Obviously not very creative. And, a loser.
