Bill O'Relliy Website Hacked

Lefties hacked into Bill O'Reilly's Website and published the email addresses , names, screen names and hometowns of a few of the latest people to join Bill's Premium Website.

Just as I did not publish, or link to, the Palin emails...I will not link to the information published by the Obama Supporters in this case either. The website that published the information has become an accessory after the fact to the break-in.

I am a premium member of Bill O'Reilly, and here is the official message posted for all members:

The BillOReilly.com site was maliciously hacked today. All credit card information is safe. No credit card information was compromised. The perpetrators used a brute force method to gain a list containing the email addresses, bor.com passwords, and hometowns of 205 new Premium Members. No members who signed up prior to 9/14/08 at 8:39 am PT were involved and, again, no credit card information was stolen from anyone.

If you were on this list, we have already contacted you by email and by telephone.

We are working with the proper authorities to track down the perpetrators and we have taken every precaution to ensure the security of the site.

For me, the ratcheting up of cyberwarfare by the left is just another indication at how totally unhinged the left has become.

An Obama Supporter with ties to the Obama Campaign was responsible for hacking into Sarah Palin's email account, and I would not be the least bit surprised if the same sort of connection was found here.

We need to remember that ideological lefties are not very nice people, and will take every opportunity to break the law and reveal personal information about conservatives if they can get that information. This attack on Bill O'Reilly's Website was an attack on Free Speech...something lefties engage in constantly, trying to chill discussions that are not going their way. This is also why they support the Fairness Doctrine...because the left cannot compete with conservatism in the Free Market.

Everywhere you see what is in the heart of lefties by the nature of their conduct, the hateful words out of their mouths come from hateful hearts that are as black as coal.

Maybe the hackers were vegetarians and suffered from brain shrinkage that come from being a vegetarian...

A Significant Number of Americans Favor Government Control of Free Speech

  • Liberty is in danger of being extinguished...by our own hand.

Rasmussen recently published the results of a poll, and the numbers are startling:

Government Control of Media

47% of Americans believe that the United States Government should be involved in forcing ALL television and Radio Stations to offer equal amounts of conservative and liberal commentary. Only 39% oppose it. Last year, the numbers were evenly divided at 41% for and an equal number against.

Let me explain what that means. That means Rush Limbaugh would be required to set aside half of his program commentary time for a progressive. That means that Keith Olbermann would be required to set aside half his political commentary time for a conservative. The news networks would be required to give equal time to conservative reporting because they use liberal reporting to slant the news.

What would really happen is that Rush Limbaugh, and others, would leave terrestrial radio...killing AM Radio. They would find new homes on satellite radio and/or on the Internet.

Americans are on the verge of getting a heavy-handed Government that can regulate opinion on the airwaves.

Government Control of the Internet

The opinion on the Government control of the opinions expressed on the Internet are as follows: 31% favor the Government requiring equal conservative and liberal commentary being enforced on websites, including blogs. 50% oppose that.

Let me explain that for you as well. That means Daily Kos, Boing Boing, Talking Points Memo and all the lefty blogs would be required (by law) to offer an equal amount of conservative commentary. It also applies to righties like Michelle Malkin, Instapundit and the Little Green Footballs.

Locally, it would mean that I would have to give an equal number of words to a lefty (it is highly doubtful that any could keep up with my output), and the Scrutiny Hooligans would be required to do the same (I could manage it, but it would be extremely distasteful) by law.

Political Motivation

My opinion is that most people haven't thought this through to it's logical conclusion that we would be giving away freedoms to the government. And once the government takes a freedom...it is well nigh impossible to get it back through any means short of armed rebellion.

Here are some numbers to impress upon you the political nature of Controlling Your Speech:

.

Political Group
2008 2007

.

ForFor

.

Liberals
54-2651-33

.

Conservatives even40-48

By a slim margin, Liberals favor the Government gain control of the Television and Radio Station Political Commentary. The government will decide what is fair. Just like the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, Communist Cuba, North Korea, most Arab Countries, Chavez's Venezuela.

If the Fairness Doctrine passes...it will be goodnight and good luck to us all as America will slide into an era where faceless bureaucrats will decide when a political commenter or reporter merits an opposing voice given equal airtime.

We will see a new era of Identity Politics, and ever greater numbers of smaller political groups vying for an ever shrinking audience as most Americans will simply turn their televisions and radios to something other than news...and that, I believe, is the whole point.

The lefties will strangle our freedoms as they attempt to limit the number of people who can be exposed to Conservative viewpoints.

And do not think they will stop at your television and your radio. They will come for your Internet, too. They are already trying with something euphemistically named "Net Neutrality" that will have the same effect as the "Fairness Doctrine."

I will have to sign this piece with the name of Cassandra...because I believe the tide to be mostly irreversible at this point. Without great effort...we will loose another freedom to the hungry maw of the lefty quest for control over every aspect of our lives.

John Armor Article in Human Events

Local author, raconteur, and former primary candidate in the GOP NC-11 race, has an article on Human Events entitled, "Anybody Remember The Red Lion Case?" and here is a snippet to whet your appetite for more:

...What Justice White does not include in his opinion is the relative availability of media when he was writing his opinion. There were slightly more than 4,000 daily newspapers in the United States, then. Most major cities had competing dailies. Some cities like Chicago and New York, had more than six competing newspapers.

At the same time, in 1969, the number of TV licenses were in the hundreds, and there were fewer radio licenses than newspapers.

Today, all of those figures are reversed. The number of daily newspapers is down to about 2,000 and declining. The number of TV stations are above 10,000, and the number of radio stations about five times as many. Given cable and satellite technologies, the average American household now has access to at least 100 TV channels, plus dozens of specialized radio stations. That average household has access to less than two daily newspapers.

It was this change in the facts which led the FCC to end the Fairness Doctrine almost thirty years ago. The disparity, with print media declining and electronic media growing, has continued apace since then. This huge advantage in favor of individual access to broadcast channels that offer what they want, is increased by orders of magnitude when the Internet, plus pod casting, are added to the mix.

Those who are arguing for reestablishment of the Fairness Doctrine have not done their homework....

Commentary

You can bet everything you own that the Democrats will get a new Fairness Doctrine in place if Barack Obama is elected President, and that will mean the end of AM Radio.

Fortunately for us, the Internet will be here for the conservative commentators to utilize to side step the ban on conservative talk. That will be good for people who have access to DSL or faster Internet connections, but not for the millions who are on dial up, or listen while on the road, or away from computers.

Will wireless carriers be able to stream Internet radio? Or will people employ a work around like I did while WZNN/WZGM was offering talk radio programming? (I used a transmitter to take the audio from an AM Radio and transmit it on FM so I could hear the faint 1350 kHz signal on my Walkman on an empty slot on the FM Dial, usually 87.9 MHz, up to a mile from my pickup).

I am firm in my belief that if the Fairness Doctrine is passed, we will find a way around it...for the Neo-Stalinist Democrats do not understand the power of freedom, and the utility of Free Markets...that is one reason lefty talk never took hold. They just don't get it, and never will.

Talk Radio Sank Amnesty Bill !!!

Opposition from key talk radio and cable TV hosts helped kill the
immigration bill in Congress, a study out today concludes. “What listeners of the conservative talk radio media were hearing, in large part, was that the legislation itself was little more than an ‘amnesty bill’ for illegal immigrants, a phrase loaded with political baggage,” it says. The study by the nonpartisan Project for Excellence in Journalism quantifies what White House and Capitol Hill phone lines and e-mail inboxes already indicated: Talk radio focused on the immigration debate more intensely than the mainstream media did from April to June. Conservative hosts touched off a brushfire in the Republican base that President Bush and other party leaders were helpless to contain.

With this study in their hands, the progressives are gonna come after us with everything they have to try to get a "Fairness Doctrine" enacted. Heaven help us if a Democrat gets in for Jan 2009! Stay Vigilant!

Meet John Kerry...A Useful Idiot

Today in the Opinion Journal, former KGB intelligence officer Ion Mihai Pacepa explained the propaganda tactics of the communists during the Cold War.
Here is a bit of what Pacepa had to say about the Soviet's propaganda campaign in the West:

During the Vietnam War we spread vitriolic stories around the world, pretending that America's presidents sent Genghis Khan-style barbarian soldiers to Vietnam who raped at random, taped electrical wires to human genitals, cut off limbs, blew up bodies and razed entire villages. Those weren't facts. They were our tales, but some seven million Americans ended up being convinced their own president, not communism, was the enemy. As Yuri Andropov, who conceived this dezinformatsiya war against the U.S., used to tell me, people are more willing to believe smut than holiness.
Does that remind you of anyone?
Here are the words of future democratic Senator John F. Kerry in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on April 22, 1971:

They told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam...

Commentary

Why is it that the left so easily falls in line with our enemies?

The rank and file may be useful idiots, or at least sdound like it, but I believe the thinkers on the left subscribe to Revolutionary Defeatism.

I have a whole section of my right hand sidebar called "Read These Posts" that I should probably rename "Understanding Leftism" because it contains some brilliant essays on the Socialists (i.e. Communists) that have been hiding out in the Democrat Party for some time now.

Their political war with Western Civilization is not over, and we must remain ever vigilant to slow their long march through our institutions. It is my hope that we can stop it, and eventually reverse it.

That process requires waking people up to what is happening. Perhaps that is why they hate Rush Limbaugh (and the medium he sired--Talk Radio), the Fox News Channel, and the Right-Side of the Blogosphere. Look for them to try to shut all three down because their totalitarian ideology will brook no comeptition.

I leave you with this:

"They call themselves democrats, but they yearn for dictatorship. They call themselves revolutionaries, but they want to make the government omnipotent. They promise the blessings of the Garden of Eden, but they plan to transform the entire world into a gigantic post office. Every man but one subordinate clerk in a bureau, what an alluring utopia! What a noble cause to fight for!"

Death by Talk Radio: the Amnesty Bill by John Armor

Guest Commentary

Death by Talk Radio: the Amnesty Bill

[BB Even 554, 30 June 2007, 738 words]

I've done a lot of talk radio beginning with Chuck Boyles on WBAL in Baltimore in 1968. It's a challenging form of communication. You don't know what's coming, yet you must be ready for it. It is true that talk radio killed the amnesty bill in the Senate, for the second and final time, last week.

The first surprise of talk radio is how fast it is. Like the internet, it is viral. An idea (an infection) begins at one point, but within 24 hours it is everywhere. The other, equally important surprise, is that ideas can come from ordinary people. In all other media except talk radio and the internet, the "leading" ideas are proposed by people in
the know, people in suits. Ideas might or might not succeed -- consider the iPod as the example du jour -- but they come from the suits.

Talking about suits, empty or otherwise, brings us to the US Senate. Not only did the Senate strike a backroom deal on the "illegal immigration" bill, they told the world they'd done such a deal, before they dropped the bill in the hopper. Majority Leader Harry Reid introduced it directly on the floor -- no committee hearings, no testimony, no reviews in the press. Just stick it in and tell the whole Senate they must pass it because "the President, and bipartisan Senate
leaders support it."

I've dealt with Senators over the years. Most of them become supremely arrogant by the time they are a few years into their second term.
There are exceptions, and I respect all of them deeply, but that's the general pattern. And the one thing that arrogant people have greatest difficulty recognizing is their own arrogance.

(To my sainted mother and all the members of my family by blood and marriage I say, yes, I know, I've been guilty of that myself on occasion. "But I got betta," as the Monty Python line says. Can I get back to the story about the Senate, now?)

The arrogance of the Senate was bipartisan and towering. Trent Lott, R-Miss., said that "talk radio was a problem," that needed to be solved. James Inhofe, R-Ok., said he overheard Hillary Clinton, D-NY, and Dianne Feinstein, D-Cal., talking about reinstituting the Fairness Doctrine to get control of talk radio. Both Clinton and Feinstein later denied the conversation had taken place, but their careers demonstrate that neither takes kindly to criticism.

George Voinovich, R-Oh., actually said he felt "intimidated" by citizen reactions engendered by talk radio. Helloooo. Anyone who feels intimidated by groups of citizens should be in a different line of work than politics.

The misnamed Center for American Progress, run by Bill Clinton's former Chief of Staff, staffed with Clintonistas and funded by George Soros, among others, issued a report that concluded that talk radio was badly skewed to the right. The report was biased on its facts and in its conclusions. It rejected market demand as an explanation of success in talk radio.

In the last 10 days, I've been invited on the air with about a dozen hosts to discuss the danger to talk radio if the government gets back into the business of telling them the content they can broadcast. I was on as an authority on the First Amendment, not talk radio.

To all I said the key to the situation was understood by Thomas Jefferson, two centuries ago. On freedom of the press, he wrote about "the marketplace of ideas." Jefferson recognized that concepts, as well as goods and services, are put out in public, and those which are well-received, prosper. The others do not.

It fascinated me that my one interview with a "liberal" host, on a station in New York City, went along the same lines. I'd expected her to be loaded for bear, and to attack the idea that talk radio is, and should be, market-driven. To my surprise, that is exactly what she and her listeners thought.

There is a real, but not immediate, risk to talk radio. If someone is elected President who thinks talk radio should be controlled, that President can appoint a majority on the Federal Communications Commission. The FCC can, with the stroke of a pen, reinstall the Fairness Doctrine to replace the Free Speech Doctrine. And if so, only the Supreme Court can likely save talk radio from being told what to broadcast. But those are stories for another day.

A View to a Kill: The Left Supports the Thug-In-Chief Hugo Chavez

Or, How I Quit Living in Fear of Freedom of Speech, and Learned to Love Neo-Stalinism

I hope the events unfolding in Venezuela has been an awakening for people on how the Hard-Core Lefties think, and the cognitive dissonance they bathe in will lead to the horrors of tyranny every single time it is tried!

Hugo Chavez, who has been given dictatorial powers "only during the current emergency", and an extended term in office, has assumed the worship of the American Communists once only occupied by El Presidente Fidel Castro. And, like him, he will continue to find ways to remain in power far beyond his current term expires. Sort of like Darth Vader for earthlings without the twisted false messiah ending in Episode VI of Star Wars.

The Kids at Daily KKKos support and rationalize the gutting of Free Speech in Venezuela, and I promise you, they wish they could do the same thing here in America to Fox News (a breeding ground for the hated RINOS), Conservative Talk, and the Conservative Blogosphere via "Net Neutrality.'

An excerpt from a Buzzle article:

Radio Caracas Television - the country's "oldest and most popular" private channel - hosted an emotional farewell to viewers and depicted its imminent demise as a political watershed. "This marks a turn toward totalitarianism," said its director, Marcel Granier.

The government ridiculed the notion and said it was exercising its legal right not to renew the concession of a channel which had "polluted" the airwaves with anti-democratic coup-mongering as well as sleazy soap operas.
"anti-democratic coup mongering as well as sleazy soap operas," by those standards, three quarters (or more) of American Television, and virtually all of Hollywood should be at risk of being taken off the air! Most especially on the sleaze. The left have been coup-mongering, and the Democratic Duo of Pelosi & Reid backed off once they realized Americans will not stand for it. (80 million gun owners would soon correct that mistake!)

Here are some more articles on the brave souls fighting against tyranny in Venezuela, much like the Contras we helped two decades ago in Central America:

Washington Post

Venezuelanalysis

BBC

The president says the new channel that took RCTV's place at midnight on Sunday (0400 GMT Monday) will better reflect the socialist revolution he has pledged to lead.
Never forget that socialism cannot survive when there is competition from other ideologies, and must sink to using violence to remove them. That is part of what the Fairness Doctrine is intended to set into play, to force successful conservative programs to loose part of their air-time to the socialists until a way can be found to remove them from the air.

Dems To Try Fairness Doctrine [Again]

I think the Democrats really are clueless, and will continue to introduce legislation that will invigorate the conseravtive base in time for the 2008 elections!

Allies close to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are promoting legislation, which if passed, will take off the air prominent conservative radio hosts such as Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly—along with thousands of smaller conservative broadcasters.
The bill, entitled the "Media Ownership Reform Act," is sponsored by Rep. Maurice Hinchey, a leftist Democrat from New York. The legislation aims to revive the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" of the 1940's: "all views" are to be given equal time on radio. In particular, the Federal Communications Commission would have the power to oversee and change radio and television content. The goal is to tilt the ideological balance of power away from the right on the nation's air waves.

The real force behind the effort to censor conservative talk radio is the progressive–philanthropist, George Soros. The radical leftist billionaire has made no secret of his hatred for conservatives. He says President Bush has transformed America into a militaristic, "fascist" empire. Moreover, Soros champions many of liberalism's chic causes: abortion on demand, legalization of drugs, homosexual marriage, euthanasia, unlimited Third World immigration, open borders, and one-world government anchored in the United Nations. He advocates all the issues that are anathema to popular radio talk-show hosts like Savage, Limbaugh and Hannity. Hence, he wants these commentators to be exiled to the political wilderness.
