Mare's Tails and Contrails
This is a glimpse of some of the beautiful Mare's Tails and Contrails on January 14, 2010.
I enjoyed watching the ice crystals drop from the cirrus clouds and contrails as they passed from west to east over western North Carolina yesterday.

Beautiful Cirrus Clouds
Last night was a pretty cool (44°) at my house, and I slept through the peak of the Perseids. Bummer.
Seeing the beautiful display of Cirrus Clouds this morning made up for it, and here are a few of the photos I took:
This one looked like it was being breathed down from above!
This one had a contrail bisecting it.
The yellowish fluff at the bottom is from the Jackson Paper smokestack.
