Window Wonderland Photo Series Marks Format Change at WNC Citizens Blog
I will be posting a series of photos of last night's Window Wonderland held in Franklin, NC last night throughout the weekend on my photoblog to mark the official format change from political commentary to local Photo/Video Blog. Check it out!
There are already two posts up, the warning post and the first post.
I decided to change the format at WNC Citizens Blog in August, but didn't want to fully reveal the reasons at the time because of the concern about tipping my hand to the local lefty bloggers about the NCGA Project, which is nearly finished and ready to launch on January 28, 2009.

Winter Weather Forecast For WNC Mountains
I posted about the National Weather Service forecast on WNC Citizens Blog. Good grief...it's just 3 inches, people!
How are you gonna start reacting when Global Cooling starts becoming more evident...and we start getting snow storms like when I was a kid? 18 to 24 inches at a time!!!

Transformus 2008
I posted an article on the Neo-Pagan Religious Festival called Transformus on WNC Citizens Blog yesterday, including a photo of last year's temple burn, and videos a participant posted to you tube.
The festival is based on the Burning Man that takes place every year in the Nevada desert.
Asheville is really living up to their new motto (Any Way You Like It) designed to bring in the tourists, and this Neo-Pagan Festival seems to fit the bill.
I wonder how many of the Pagans who cast spells to protest their Magnolia in front of City Hall went to this festival? They are currently camped out on Stewart Coleman's property in front of Asheville's City Hall.

Six NC-11 Counties Support "Principles First Campaign"
I wrote about it on WNC Citizens Blog.
I am really surprised at how everyone has misinterpreted this move by Mumpower, and misunderestimated him. Just ask his former opponents in the GOP Primary. I know I did.
In my opinion, the core of his support comes from people seeing him portrayed on WLOS as the sole adult on City Council (not on purpose, to be sure) all these years. Take this video I posted of Mumpower making Mayor Bellamy (and The Fab Four) look like idiots on the matter of partisan elections in Asheville. He was vindicated by the voters of Asheville, when they rejected the measure.

Festival Videos

Moore and Perdue Update

Tweedledum and Tweedledee continue their battle in the NC Gubernatorial primary race...with Richard Moore's campaign pointing out an endorsement that Beverly Perdue seems to be hiding. The National Rifle Association has endorsed Bev Perdue for North Carolina Governor. I would think that would anger more NRA members than it would gun-hating Democrats. That is one reason I have never joined the NRA...their consistent endorsements of Democrats in North Carolina. If they ever want a membership from me...they'll have to quit that behavior.
Harvey Gantt has also endorsed Beverly Perdue. In his endorsement he noted "She is a great progressive leader with the proven ability we need in our next Governor. She has helped North Carolina's working families both economically and socially, and I know Bev will be a great Governor." Which brings me back to the NRA endorsing Democrats...especially progressive ones...why?
The latest figures I have are:
