A member of the Barack Obama Administration, Van Jones, has launched a boycott against the advertisers of the Glenn Beck TV Show[see his effort] . That effort has been successful, and many advertisers have dropped advertising on his show. They are still advertising on the Fox News Channel, but not on his show.
This should be a lesson about the differences in opinion between Censorship and Freedom. I believe that Glenn Beck has as much right to say what he says as the Lefty heroes John Stewart, Chris Matthews or Rachael Maddow do. I disagree with what the Lefties say, but I am not able to condone a boycott of their shows just because they say something I consider outrageous. I even took people to task for their boycott of David Letterman [see post]. I also noted back in March that the Left (I consider the MSM, or Legacy Media, as lock, stock and barrel of the Left) would be coming for Glenn, and gave my reasons why I thought so.

You can contact advertisers who have continued to advertise on the show, and thank them for not giving in to the bullying tactics of the Left. Send them email, call them, and write them letters or send faxes. Get your friends and family to do the same.
A good place to get contact information on these companies, including the ones who have been bullied, at Defend Glenn, a website set up by a husband and wife team who did what any of us could have...they stepped forward and said, "Not on my Watch!!!" Join their effort and protect Glenn's right to Free Speech. It is obvious that President Obama won't, for his Green Jobs Czar is the very man leading the effort to muzzle Glenn Beck. If that does not concern you on any level, then you are part of the problem. Leave this blog, and never come back, I never knew you.

I have been a shopper at Radio Shack since the early 1980's, and have puchased countless components for building numerous electronic projects over the years, and the majority of the radio frequency scanners I have came from Radio Shack. Lautenberg (D-NJ), Jack Reed (D-RI) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) today joined Paul Helmke, President of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and victims and family members of the Virginia Tech tragedy, to introduce legislation to close the nation’s “gun show loophole.” The bill introduction follows the tenth anniversary of the Columbine tragedy and the second anniversary of the tragedy at Virginia Tech this week. The legislation is cosponsored by Sens. Dick Durbin (D-IL), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Charles Schumer (D-NY), John Kerry (D-MA), Ted Kennedy (D-MA), Carl Levin (D-MI), Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ). “There is no rational reason to oppose closing the loophole. The reason it’s still not closed is simple: the continuing power of the special interest gun lobby in Washington,” Sen. Lautenberg said. “My legislation would require background checks for every gun purchased at every gun show across America and would help keep guns out of the hands of criminals. Without this change in the law, anyone – from felons to terrorists to fugitives – can buy a gun at a gun show, no questions asked. That needs to change.” The Senators’ bill would close the loophole by requiring background checks on all sales at gun shows. The bill defines a gun show as any event where 50 or more guns are offered or exhibited for sale. In addition, the bill would require:
gun show promoters to register with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), maintain a list of vendors at all gun shows and ensure that all vendors acknowledge receipt of information about their legal obligations; and federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) to submit information, including the manufacturer/importer, model and serial number of firearms transferred at gun shows to the ATF’s National Tracing Center (NTC). No personal information about either the seller or the purchaser would be given to the ATF. Instead, as under current law, FFLs would maintain personal information in their files. The National Tracing Center would request personal information from an FFL only if a firearm becomes the subject of a law enforcement trace request.
“As someone who served in the Army, I have great respect for firearms and responsible gun ownership. The Gun Show Background Check Act is a responsible and common sense approach to preventing firearms from winding up in the hands of criminals and straw purchasers,” said Senator Jack Reed. “This legislation is critical to making our communities safer, which is why it is strongly supported by law enforcement officers nationwide. Passing this bill would help prevent the killing of innocent people, and it would do so without infringing on anyone’s right to own a gun.”
“We don’t need any more evidence that a gun in the hands of the wrong person is a real threat to our schools, our families, and our communities. Allowing sales at gun shows without identification, without accountability and without knowing whether the buyer is a felon or mentally ill, is unacceptable,” Senator Feinstein said. “This legislation proposes common sense protections that do not limit the rights of law abiding citizens to own and purchase guns.” “Closing this long-standing, flagrant, irresponsible and increasingly dangerous loophole in federal gun laws will make gun show transactions safer for all our people, and it’s urgently needed. It makes absolutely no sense to tolerate this loophole that allows criminals and terrorists to buy guns at gun shows and avoid the minimal federal regulations that now exist. I commend Senator Lautenberg for introducing this bill, and I look forward to its enactment into law as soon as possible. Too many lives are in danger for Congress to delay any longer,” said Sen. Edward M. Kennedy.
“Ten years after two dangerous young men used gun show guns to kill and maim, it is way past time to extend the successful Brady background check system in America to gun sales at gun shows,” said Paul Helmke, President of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. “There is no rational reason why as a nation we should not do this. I want to applaud Senator Frank Lautenberg for championing this bill to close the gun show loophole."
The victims and families of the Virginia Tech tragedy joining the members for the announcement included Omar Samaha, the brother of Reema Samaha, and his father Joe. Omar’s sister Reema was one of 32 victims who were shot and killed at Virginia Tech. Omar was recently followed by ABC News into a gun show where he was able to purchase ten guns, in under an hour, with no questions asked.
“My sister Reema was shot and killed at Virginia Tech because of a loophole with the background check system for gun purchases. Ever since April 16th I have been working to fix problems with America’s gun background check system – and the gun show loophole is the most outrageous gap. It’s time for Congress to step up and require background checks for all sales at guns shows,” Omar Samaha, the brother of Reema Samaha, said.
“A national law to close the gun show loop hole will prevent guns from falling into the hands of felons, domestic abusers and the mentally adjudicated. This piece of valuable legislation must be enacted to protect the citizens of this country,” Suzanne Grimes said. Suzanne is the mother of Virginia Tech survivor Kevin Sterne. An Eagle Scout, Kevin saved his own life by putting a tourniquet on himself to stop the bleeding after being shot in his femoral artery.
In 1993, the Brady Law was passed requiring prospective purchasers of guns sold by federal firearms licensees, like gun shops and pawn shops, to go through a background check. However, a loophole in current law allows people to purchase guns from unlicensed dealers at gun shows without going through a background check. The ATF reports that between 25 to 50 percent of firearm vendors at gun shows are unlicensed.
As a result of this loophole, convicted felons, fugitives, domestic abusers, the mentally ill and other people who are prohibited by federal law from owning guns are able to purchase firearms at gun shows. For example, the two teenagers who shot and killed 12 students and one teacher at Columbine High School in 1999 used guns obtained from gun shows.
In 1999, Sen. Lautenberg introduced the first bill in Congress to close the gun show loophole. Later that year, in the wake of the Columbine tragedy, the Senate passed Sen. Lautenberg’s legislation to close the gun show loophole as an amendment to a juvenile justice bill. The legislation passed by one vote, with Vice President Gore casting the tiebreaking vote. However, the gun lobby killed the legislation in House-Senate conference.
Here are some definitions of terms and some of the requirements contained in the bill:
DEFINITION OF GUN SHOWS: Gun shows are defined to include any event at which 50 or more firearms are offered or exhibited for sale. This definition includes not only those events where firearms are the main commodity sold, but also other events where a significant number of guns are sold, such as flea markets or swap meets.
GUN SHOW PROMOTERS: Gun show promoters would be required to register with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), maintain a list of vendors at all gun shows, and ensure that all vendors acknowledge receipt of information about their legal obligations.
BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR ALL TRANSACTIONS: The bill requires that all firearms sales at gun shows go through a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). If a non-licensed person is selling a weapon, they would use an FFL at the gun show to complete the transaction. The FFL would be responsible for conducting a Brady check on the purchaser and maintaining records of the transaction.
IMPROVED FIREARM TRACING: FFLs would be required to submit information including the manufacturer/importer, model, and serial number of firearms transferred at gun shows to the ATF’s National Tracing Center (NTC). However, no personal information about either the seller or the purchaser would be given to the ATF. Instead, as under current law, FFLs would maintain this information in their files. The NTC would request this personal information from an FFL only in the event that a firearm subsequently becomes the subject of a law enforcement trace request.

If you want some weapons that are "off the books" and haven't taken action...your window of opportunity is closing.
My prediction is that after they make it very hard for you to purchase weapons and/or ammo, their next step will be in outlawing certain types of weapons and/or ammo. Then, they will find ways to take them.
The time to stand is now. Not when we're nearly disarmed.

One of CNN's "reporters" had a confrontation with participants of a Tea Party in St. Louis, and the above video is one that CNN keeps having You Tube jerk down. I have obtained my own copy and have uploaded it to my account in protest of CNN failing to acknowledge the Fair Use of the clip.
We must not allow America to slip into a condition where the "News Media" are working hand-in-glove with the political leadership, whether it be a Republican or Democrat in the White House.

Gov. Sarah Palin owes more than a half million dollars to an Anchorage law firm that has defended her against ethics complaints, and she may create a legal fund to pay the bill, she said Friday.
Legal bills have mounted fighting complaints that she called partisan, false and frivolous, starting with "the politically motivated Troopergate probe," Palin said in a written response to questions.
She said the legal bills all stem from her actions as governor.
"I must defend against these baseless ethics accusations out of my own pocket as the use of public monies to do so could itself violate state law," Palin wrote.
The debt, amassed since she was catapulted into the national spotlight during the presidential race, was revealed in her annual financial disclosure filed this week with the Alaska Public Offices Commission.
"On August 29, it seems the political landscape changed in Alaska. Now, it seems in order to do this job as Governor, with the political blood sport some are playing today, only the independently wealthy or those willing to spend their income on legal fees to defend their official actions in office ... can serve," Palin said in the written response to Daily News questions.
The left has been using what I call "political lawfare" [merging the words law and warfare] against conservative candidates and conservative causes for a long time now, hoping to win in the courts, and to discourage others from getting involved in standing for office. It is a form of psychological terrorism.

Why members of the Islamic faith see him as one of the flock.
I know President Obama is not Muslim, but I am tempted nevertheless to think that he is, as are most Muslims I know. In a very unscientific oral poll, ranging from family members to Muslim acquaintances, many of us feel, just as African-Americans did for the non-black but culturally leaning African-American President Bill Clinton, that we have our first American Muslim president in Barack Hussein Obama. I know it's odd to say this. At first, I thought I was the only Muslim engaging in this folly, and I am reluctant to express it lest right-wing zealots try to use "Muslim" as a smear and cite my theory as proof of an Islamic traitor in the White House or some such nonsense. But, since Election Day, I have been part of more and more conversations with Muslims in which it was either offhandedly agreed that Obama is Muslim or enthusiastically blurted out. In commenting on our new president, "I have to support my fellow Muslim brother," would slip out of my mouth before I had a chance to think twice. "Well, I know he's not really Muslim," I would quickly add. But if the person I was talking to was Muslim, they would say, "yes he is." They would cite his open nature and habit of reaching out to critics, reminiscent of the Prophet Muhammad's own approach, and also Obama's middle name, Hussein. Most of the Muslims I know (me included) can't seem to accept that Obama isnot Muslim. Of the few Muslims I polled who said that Obama is not Muslim, even they conceded that he had ties to Islam. These realists said that, although not an avowed and practicing Muslim, Obama's exposure to Islam at a young age (both through his father and his stint in Indonesia) has given him a Muslim sensibility. In my book, that makes you a Muslim--maybe not a card-carrying one, but part of the flock for sure. One realist Muslim ventured that Obama worships at a Unitarian Church because it represents the middle ground between Christianity and Islam, incorporating the religious beliefs of the two faiths Obama feels connected to. Unitarianism could be Obama's way of still being a Muslim.
I remember a long drawn out discussion I had on a progressive group blog about these very things, where I brought up many of the same arguments that this writer does, and was not believed by the hooligans there, and was even called various versions of a hater for doing it. I wonder if they will say the very same thing about a Muslim who has now said the very same things.
You'll also note that many of the comments are addressed to someone called "TP" or "Pig" or "Thunder Pig". That is me. My comments have been removed "webscrubbed" if you will, because either they are very cogent, or may be a result of my banning from commenting at the group blog recently. I draw your attention to the very strident nature of the "progressive" reaction to my commentary and analysis...which are now gone down the Orwellian Memory Hole because that is who lefties are, destroyers of whatever they disagree with.
Just as Pahroah decreed the name Moses is to be stricken from history, so do the lefties order even the record of the opposition to be stricken from history. But you can still see echoes of my presence because some of the commenters have quoted portions of my commentary.

So, back to the Obama "will be seen as a Muslim" claim: this woman gives anecdotal evidence to back up my claims, which, when forecast by me...were evidence (to lying lefties, at any rate) of me trying to spread hate. So, is this woman trying to spread hate? Am I by reporting upon it? Or the lefties who try to distort my words or intentions by their attempts at misdirection?
I expect to be vindicated in several other statements I have made about an Obama Presidency in the next four to eight years.

With a touch-screen system, you either touch the candidate's name or not. There is none of this asinine quibbling over intent, hanging chads, or finding 32 ballots (all suspiciously marked for the candidate who is behind, mind you) in a car.

Federal Troops kidnap Elian Gonzalas for Fidel Castro
As mentioned, upon accepting the case, Gregory Craig had flown to Cuba to confer with "El Lider Maximo" (translates almost exactly to Führer in German). To effectively stage-manage the boy's shanghaiing, Craig explained to Castro, he needed Juan Miguel in the U.S. According to most accounts, Castro balked at this. No plantation owner likes his slaves traveling (unescorted) outside his plantation. Plus, Castro was no doubt privy to Juan Miguel's early communications with his Miami cousins, thanking them profusely and saying he'd be soon make his own escape and join Elian.
So it took a little doing, but Craig finally prevailed -- that Castro's "escorts" would constantly accompany Juan Miguel in the U.S. (as witnessed by Pedro Porro) was probably the gist of the deal with Craig.
So in effect, the man who will serve as chief White House Counsel, once agreed to function as a fully deputized agent for a Stalinist regime's KGB-trained secret police.
This just keeps getting worse and worse...and it reminds me of the Obama Supporter with Che flag in her office...I think maybe President-elect Obama has one of those in his bedroom.
Today I received word that for the safety of the drivers of the big rigs all "Yes On 8" signs on the back of the trailers must be removed. Too many drivers are being attacked by supporters of "No On 8," and in the latest incident a bottle was thrown at one of the drivers.
One of the arguments in support of Gay Marriage before Proposition 8 won in California was that it won't affect those of you that have a moral obligation to attempt to preserve the sanctity of marriage. "Gays," they said, "only want to have the opportunity to marry. It will not affect you, or your children."
In California the voters approved Proposition 8 which amends the state constitution to define marriage as between a man and a woman. Had Prop. 8 lost, the proponents of the proposition would have accepted it and planned for the next attempt through the voters to define marriage as between a man and a woman - and the Gay Community would have proclaimed victory and cried out that they had the will of the people on their side. . . but the homosexual community lost, and they became violent.
After church on Sunday, leaving the parking lot, on the sidewalk Gay Rights Activists slammed their hands on cars, screamed "haters" and profanity, and were flipping us off as we tried to pull out on the street.
Why has the Gay Agenda become an image of thuggery and anarchy?
Is it because Christians, Mormons, and other folks who support preserving traditional marriage, rejected justifying their immoral activity. The gays, who said that gay marriage would not affect us, have decided that either I denounce my faith and turn my back on thousands of years of Biblical teachings, or else I deserve to be painted with profane language, and injured through violent means.
You'd think that if Homosexual Activists were fighting for a right, they would employ the tactics and startegy used by those seeking equal rights for blacks in the 50's and 60's. But they don't because it isn't about equal rights...it is all about attacking Christians, and forcing Christians to give up rights...even to the point of threat of attack on their person. Just listen to the hating homosexuals in the video below.

November 14, 2008 I went to the Castro (the homosexual district of San Francisco) with JHOPSF (I have been with the Justice House of Prayer San Francisco since April 2008.) like we usually do on Friday nights. Normally, we sit on 18th and Castro, and someone plays the guitar, and we all worship God. Sometimes a person will yell at us, or maybe a few. Sometimes people will ignore us. Sometimes people will let us pray with them. This time was not a normal night. It was the first time we'd been back in the Castro to do our normal outreach since California Proposition 8, which defined marriage as "one man with one woman" was passed. We played the guitar and sang together and worshiped the Lord. After just singing and worshiping God for a while, Roger decided that we should all hold hands in a circle and continue singing. So we did. Someone (Actually a person who came up and hugged and kissed some of us who he knew from the past) convinced some people that we were there to protest against the no on 8 campaign. Then some guy who was dressed up like one of the sisters (The sisters of perpetual indulgence is a group of men who dress up like nuns and call themselves the spiritual authority of the Castro.) took a curtain-type thing (Which I think they use to curse people) and wrapped it around us. Then a crowd started gathering. We began to sing "Amazing Grace", and basically sang that song the whole night. (At some points we also sang "Nothing but the Blood of Jesus" and "Oh the Blood of Jesus".) At first, they just shouted at us, using crude, rude, and foul language and calling us names like "haters" and "bigots". Since it was a long night, I can't even begin to remember all of the things that were shouted and/or chanted at us. Then, they started throwing hot coffee, soda and alcohol on us and spitting (and maybe even peeing) on us. Then, a group of guys surrounded us with whistles, and blasted them inches away from our ears continually. Then, they started getting violent and started shoving us. At one point a man tried to steal one of our Bibles. Chrisdene noticed, so she walked up to him and said "Hey, that's not yours, can you please give it back?". He responded by hitting her on the head with the Bible, shoving her to the ground, and kicking her. I called the cops, and when they got there, they pulled her out of the circle and asked her if she wanted to press charges. She said "No, tell him I forgive him." Afterwards, she didn't rejoin us in the circle, but she made friends with one of the people in the crowd, and really connected heart to heart. Roger got death threats. As the leader of our group, people looked him in the eyes and said "I am going to kill you.", and they were serious. A cop heard one of them, and confronted him. (This part is kinda graphic, so you should skip the paragraph if you don't want to be offended.) It wasn't long before the violence turned to perversion. They were touching and grabbing me, and trying to shove things in my butt, and even trying to take off my pants - basically trying to molest me. I used one hand to hold my pants up, while I used the other arm to hold one of the girls. The guys huddled around all the girls, and protected them. Soon after, the cops came and stood between us and the mob. When it was getting more heated, the cops were like "You guys should leave." and Roger said "We want to stay." Someone tried to steal my backpack, but I tapped a cop on the shoulder, and said "Hey, that's my bag." and he got it from him and gave it to me. Others weren't so lucky. Probably half our team got their jackets stolen. Eventually, as the crowd was getting more and more uncontrollable, the cops were afraid for our lives, so they escorted us to our van. (The cops were very nice to us from start to finish.) Our van was parked pretty far because it was hard to find parking that day. As the cops escorted us, the mob followed us, until the cops formed a line, and held off the people so we could drive away. We took the long way home, just in case anyone tried to follow us. When we got home, we prayed and sang more, and then prayed over each-other. Please know my heart. All of what we do is for the Love of Jesus Christ, and the love for those in the Castro. The Bible says to love God, and then love people. We can only love because He loved us first. We can't hate the people because they are just broken and blinded by the spirit of this age. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against Principalities and Powers. It's not a political thing, we just love the people.
The people have spoken in California on preserving marriage as being between one man and one woman. Of course, the homofascists refuse to acknowledge the will of the people or even display a modicum of civility.

Gee, these hate-filled lefties are really intolerant and live up to my characterization of them as dangerous and unstable people. It looks like the world is starting to shape up as foreseen by those Jack Chick tractsof my childhood...

These are lefties protesting the will of the people of California in West Hollywood in regards to banning gay marriage in California.
Now, where are the crowds of Republicans protesting the will of the American people in regards to who the next President of the United States of America?
**12.24pm** This is too funny! The Obama Campaign shorts their campaign workers, and the police have to be called to restore order!
The last time The Action Club put up billboards, they suffered vandalism as well [July 2006].
You can see a photo of the billboard on WNC Conservatives, and you can read the story posted at Mountain Xpress, along with video shot by Jason Sanford (who is seen in this video here questioning participants and filming during the press conference) who also runs the AshVegas blog.
The Asheville Slimes apparently did not cover the billboard vandalism, but did report that KKK was written on a car in Black Mountain. I'm guessing they couldn't be bothered. Typical.
The act was typical of someone with a lefty mindset...it showed a flagrant disregard for the private property rights of the people who paid for the billboard message, and the willingness to commit a crime to usurp the Free Speech rights of people with a different point of view. Lefties seem to feel a need to try to drown out any opposing viepoints by shouting down their opponents or by defacing the property of others instead of paying for a competing message, they stole property and time worth hundreds of dollars from The Action Club to get their message out...just as they would steal money out of your pocket (in the form of taxes) to pay for their pet projects.
Think about this as you go vote today. Remember the tactics of intimidation practiced by those on the left. Do you really want this nation ruled by people with a similar mindset?
