White House Dares Us Not to Photoshop Photo of President Obama Firing a Gun. Okay. Challenge Accepted

The White House has released a photo showing President Obama shooting a firearm and has said it was not to be manipulated in any way.

After eight years of seeing Lefties manipulate every photo of George W Bush while he was in the White House, I take that as a personal challenge. 

I have willfully manipulated the photo of the President of the United States showing him doing what I truly believe he wished he could do...destroy the US Constitution.

If this photo offends you, I don't care. It didn't offend me when Lefties, Anarchists and Libertarians manipulated photos of George W Bush the eight years he was in office.

This is part of what the American Republic is all about...that we all have the Freedom to say whatever we wish, and mock whomever we wish.

If I Had Dollar for Every Bogus Chain Email...

I've just received the Pepsi Flag Hoax Email for the ten thousandth time since 2001. Will people ever learn to stop believing this trash??? I'm posting the email complete with email addresses so the spambots can send these people even more garbage.


This email forward calls on US citizens to boycott the Pepsi Company on the grounds that they are unpatriotic and anti-Christian. It claims that a new "patriotic can" that is to be released has the Pledge of Allegiance on it but omits the words "Under God." Naturally, such a can might raise the ire of patriotic US citizens, especially those that are Christians. Many would feel so strongly about the issue that they would indeed boycott Pepsi products in protest.

However, the claim in the message is completely untrue. Pepsi has no plans for such a can, nor has it ever produced a can that features the Pledge of Allegiance, complete or abridged. It is therefore not surprising that in spite of the fact that the email has been circulating for several years, the alleged Pledge of Allegiance can has not yet made an appearance.

The Pepsi company has published the following statement on its website denying the rumour:

You've received an erroneous email about a "patriotic can" that Pepsi allegedly produced with an edited version of America's Pledge of Allegiance. The truth is, Pepsi never produced such a can. In fact, this is a hoax that has been circulating on the Internet for more than four years. A patriotic package used in 2001 by Dr Pepper (which is not a part of PepsiCo) was inappropriately linked to Pepsi.

This pointless rumour apparently arose from a similar "protest" email surrounding patriotic packaging used by another drink manufacturer, Dr Pepper. The Dr Pepper packaging featured just a few words from the Pledge of Allegiance and these words did not include "Under God". As Pepsi's statement on the issue reveals, Pepsi is in no way affiliated with Dr Pepper and it is unclear how or why Pepsi became the target of later versions of the protest email.


Moreover, it is highly improbable that Dr Pepper intended the omission of "Under God" as any kind of political or anti-Christian message. Back in 2002, Dr Pepper published the following statement clarifying the company's position on the issue...

I just heard one of the weirdest conspiracy theories of all time (and I've heard a lot of them): It holds that 9/11 was the result of a war between the CIA and the US Military...and the east coast earthquake was caused by the detonation of a nuclear device in a secret tunnel network that was an attempt to stop the CIA from transporting something from Langley, Virginia to their new secret headquarters in Denver, Colorado. Where do these people come up with this stuff? Why do they? It is useless to try to argue with these people because they seem to have no firm grasp on reality. The votes are in, and Mitt Romney is out! While talking heads across the country are calling former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA) the front-runner against President Obama, the base is simply not on board. A full 55 percent of conservative activists and Tea Partiers polled by Richard Viguerie’s ConservativeHQ.com responded that they, “would vote for a third-party or independent candidate” if Romney were the nominee.

#1--It is precisely this type of reaction that assisted in Obama win the 2008 election and will (if pursued) re-elect him in 2012. For some reason, 'Republicans' have lately started pursuing courses of action that indicate that they'd rather beat up other republicans than beat up on Democrats. This is a violation of Reagan's 11th Commandment and ignores this quote or Ronald Reagan's:

"When I began entering into the give and take of legislative bargaining in Sacramento, a lot of the most radical conservatives who had supported me during the election didn't like it.

"Compromise" was a dirty word to them and they wouldn't face the fact that we couldn't get all of what we wanted today. They wanted all or nothing and they wanted it all at once. If you don't get it all, some said, don't take anything.

I'd learned while negotiating union contracts that you seldom got everything you asked for. And I agreed with FDR, who said in 1933: 'I have no expectations of making a hit every time I come to bat. What I seek is the highest possible batting average.'

"If you got seventy-five or eighty percent of what you were asking for, I say, you take it and fight for the rest later, and that's what I told these radical conservatives who never got used to it."

I think that Ronald Reagan himself would find it a hard task to win a Republican Primary if he were alive today and running for President. 


#2--You would not have to worry about someone like Mitt Romney winning the primary if there weren't so many self-labeled conservative and 'Tea Party' candidates running. This type of behaviour also helped John McCain (who I consider enemy #1 of the conservative movement) win the 2008 primaries. There are several people now running 9or considering running) who are legitimate conservatives. If they all run, all they will accomplish is diluting the conservative vote out of contention. Not only will they split the vote, they'll split the donations. 
#3--Most people (and a good deal of candidates) who call themselves conservative are manifestly not conservative. I'll bet most o them haven't read (let alone agree with) the works of Edmund Burke, Dr Russell Kirk, or William F Buckley. They neither respect, nor are they familar with, the body of conservative thought over the past few decades. I would identify a good number of the recent self-described conservatives as being primarily a rebirth of the Anti-Federalist movement that opposed the ratification of the US Constitution.

Personally, I think the Secret Service must be hiring retarded people if they didn't know that the twitter account was fake. When I say retarded, I mean that I think they scored lower than Congressman Shuler did on his Wonderlic. This indeed causes me to fear for the safety of our former Presidents.

It is a sad thing that there are so many ignorant people that believe the doomsday prophecies and other lies that have been circulating regarding the end of the long count Mayan Calender.
