It has come to our attention that a “Notice Of Noncompliance” had been issued to the 11th Congressional District Republican Committee on February 26, 2008. On April 8, 2008 a “Notice Of Termination Of Active Status” had been issued to 11th CDRC. Then two letters of “Notice Of Penalty Assessment” were issued on May 22 and July 21 of 2008. One for $100.00 the other for $150.00.
It has also come to our attention that approximately $10,000.00 was raised and funds were distributed for the April 25th 2009 11th CDR Convention.
According to Chapter 1.0104(d) of Title 8 of the NC Administrative Code the 11th CDRC is ineligible to receive or make contributions until such time as any delinquent reports are filed and has satisfied any statutory penalty incurred as a result of noncompliance with the provisions of Article 22A of Chapter 163 of the NC General Statutes.
ASHEVILLE – State and local Republicans at an annual GOP dinner Saturday said they failed to show their party's distinctness and connect with voters during last November's election.
Leaders at the Buncombe County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner, however, urged about 130 people in attendance to get back in the game and champion core principles, like fiscal responsibility and limited government.
“We didn't really have a response to the early voting; we've learned from that. We weren't really technology savvy; we've learned from that. We weren't really embracing young people; we've learned from that,” said Buncombe County Republican Party Chairman Tim Johnson, commenting on his party's loss in county, state and national elections.
Although President Barack Obama was the first Democratic presidential contender to win North Carolina in more than 30 years, Johnson and others at the dinner said voters may be regretting their decision as they see the consequences of his economic policies.
My question is this...which of these groups have the smarts to use the Internet to leverage out the largest audience?
My answer...which ever group chooses not to work in secrecy, and creates the largest collaborative network.
I have been trying to create a collaborative network of conservatives myself, but have been stymied by local conservatives not caring enough to participate. That is a shame...

**8.28am** Apparently this is not the video thought it was...it appears to be just a regular meeting of the Buncombe County Elections Board. I apologise for the error on my part in misunderstanding what was in the video. I am 15 minutes along, and there is nothing regarding the GOP concerns...
**8.33am** Ha! So much for me freaking out. The issue of the Taylor Concerts is raised at the 18 minute mark...about 30 seconds before I was going to bail on the video...
