And They Call Tea Partiers Violent?

In Raleigh, North Carolina, about a 1,000 Lefties gathered to protest a busing system change the Wake County School Board has enacted that they claim would result in schools being resegregated by organizing schools by neighborhood instead of by race. 19 of them, including the head of the North Carolina NAACP were arrested. Most of the arrests occurred when a group violently disrupted the meeting by gathering around the podium, chanting and singing.


Why is it when Lefties gather to protest, there are almost invariably some of them who commit acts of violent disruption and are arrested?


There have been thousands upon thousands of tea parties across the nation over the past two years, and very few people have been arrested. In fact, when arrests occur it is almost always because of Lefty counter-protesters.


Here are the names of those arrested and the charges against them [source for list], note that a good number of them are not even residents, nor (upon further investigation by yours truly) registered voters of Wake County.

Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct? Do they sound like peaceful protesters? They sound like people who are willing to commit violence, and break the law, in order to get their way...instead of relying on the tried and true method of acting at the ballot box. 


Here is a challenge for you Lefties out there, find me documentation of a tea party that has disrupted a government meeting, seized control of the podium, and resisted arrest. You can't, because the tea parties are peaceful affairs focused on enacting change via the ballot box. 


The Left seems not to have faith in free and fair elections...and put more stock in violent disruptions and protests. It is a good thing that the Wake County School Board has not bowed to the terroristic acts of the NAACP.

The Socialist Holocaust

• Marx and totalitarianism
  
  Lenin's commitment to totalitarianism, in both theory and practice, is essentially beyond dispute. The view of his precursor Karl Marx is more ambiguous, both because Marx wrote less clearly than Lenin, and because Marx never held power. In spite of this, the totalitarian strain in Marx is pronounced. He directs much of his critique against the classical liberal concern for personal freedom and private property - the Rights of Man, or what Marx called "bourgeois freedom." The doctrine of the rights of man was faulty, according to Marx, because:

  None of the supposed rights of man, therefore, go beyond the egoistic man, man as he is, as a member of civil society; that is, an individual separated from the community, withdrawn into himself, wholly preoccupied with his private interest and acting in accordance with his private caprice... Thus man was not liberated from religion; he received religious liberty. He was not liberated from property; he received the liberty to own property. He was not liberated from the egoism of business; he received the liberty to engage in business.
  On the Jewish Question

  For Marx, freedom of religion or the freedom to own property are hollow freedoms, or at least grossly inadequate stepping stones to something better: "political emancipation itself is not humanemancipation." "[B]ourgeois 'freedom of conscience' is nothing but the toleration of all possible kinds of religious freedom of conscience, and that for its part [socialism] endeavors rather to liberate the conscience from the witchery of religion." (Critique of the Gotha Program). Rather than advocating freedom for all people, liberals really value only the freedom of the ruling class of capitalist society, viz., the bourgeoisie.
  Marx accuses the liberal tradition of slighting the social nature of man. "Liberty is, therefore, the right to do everything which does not harm others... It is a question of the liberty of man regarded as an isolated monad, withdrawn into himself." Marx elaborates: "The right of property, is, therefore, the right to enjoy one's fortunes and dispose of it as he will; without regard for other men and independently of society... It leads every man to see in other men, not the realization, but rather the limitation of his own liberty." (On the Jewish Question)
  Marx's solution, the route to human emancipation, was Communism, which would give people the freedom that bourgeois society denies them. Communism is, he explains, "the positive transcendence ofprivate property, or human self-estrangement, and therefore the real appropriation of the human essence by and for man... the complete return of man to himself as a social being..." (Economic and Philosophical Manuscripts of 1844)
  Innumerable social thinkers disagree with much of Marx's thought, but praise his reflections upon human freedom, the depth of his insight in contrast to the shallowness of laissez-faire liberalism. Yet it is difficult to understand how Marx's concept of freedom is anything more than a defense of tyranny and oppression. No dissident or non-conformist can see society as the "realization of his own liberty." And what can the attack on "the right to do everything which does not harm others" amount to in practice, except a justification for coercing people who are not harming others? The problem with "broad" notions of freedom is that they necessarily wind up condoning the violation of "narrow" notions of freedom. Under "bourgeois" notions of religious liberty, people may practice any religion they wish ("a private whim or caprice" as Marx calls it); how could this liberty be broadened, without sanctioning the persecution of some religious views?
  While Marx occasionally says something in favor of democracy, Lenin did not originate the doctrine of the dictatorship of the proletariat. That was Marx's creation. In his Critique of the Gotha Program, Marx explains, "Between capitalist and communist society lies the period of the revolutionary transformation of the one into the other. There corresponds to this also a political transition period in which the state can be nothing but the revolutionary dictatorship of the proletariat." It is not clear how long Marx thought this transitional dictatorship would last. As democratic socialist historian Carl Landauer notes:
  
  
  
  
  

  Gradually, it became evident that the transition from capitalism to socialism would take not merely months or years but decades, and therefore the extreme left wing of the social revolutionists was compelled to take one further step. If it was permissible and even necessary to throw one's country for so long a period into the horrors of civil war and dictatorship, was it then not illogical to balk at the use of deceit, torture, provocation - in fact of any means that would speed up the revolution? Was it not clear that the actions of revolutionaries in the transition period should be governed only by the law of expediency, and that sincerity, mercy, justice toward the individual had as little place in the struggle of classes as in the jungle? (European Socialism: A History of Ideas and Movements)

  Marx's thought did not provide the blueprint for Communist totalitarianism, but it did provide a rough outline for more practical men like Lenin to elaborate upon.
• Socialism and totalitarianismMarx was a leading figure in a broad socialist tradition. Much of this tradition shared his critique of "bourgeois freedom" and longed for a world in which the government eliminated both the economic and personal freedom of capitalist civilization. Such ideas may be found in the works of Rousseau, Saint-Simon, Auguste Comte, Ferdinand Lassalle, and many other prominent thinkers. Even socialists critical of authoritarianism such as Bernstein mainly tried to convince their fellow socialists of the value of democracy, showing little appreciation of the danger that universal state ownership as such could pose to human freedom, or the conflict between freedom and enforced equality.
  Communists often deviated from Marxism on small points, but almost invariably remained true to the broader authoritarian socialist tradition if they could get away with it. Thus, the Khmer Rouge reversed Marx's emphasis on the urban industrial proletariat, idealizing peasant life so strongly that they forcibly deported Cambodia's city dwellers into the country. Their inspiration came from other authoritarian socialists, such as Rousseau. What varies is what the Communist state forces its subjects to do; what is constant is that the Communist state recognizes no constraints upon its rule. The variable portion of the program usually but not always comes from Marx. The constant comes from the critique of "bourgeois freedom" found in the broader socialist tradition.
  Placing Nazism, Italian Fascism, and related movements in proper historical perspective sheds further light on the socialist-totalitarian connection. Nazism's connection with Communism is somewhat complex, and is discussed in the next section. The connection with Italian Fascism, however, is quite direct: until 1914, Benito Mussolini was the leader of the Socialist Party of Italy. He was a staunch proponent of revolutionary rather than reformist socialism, and actually received Lenin's endorsement and support for expelling reformists from the Socialist Party. Mussolini split with the Socialist Party over participation in World War I, not over abstract theory, or economic doctrine. As A. James Gregor explains Mussolini's fall from leadership of the Socialist Party: "On the day after Mussolini's call for a change in Party policy [on the war], the directive committee of the Party called a meeting to discuss the issues involved. The meeting was a heated exchange between Mussolini and the orthodox majority, almost all of whom favored adherence to the traditional commitment to absolute neutrality. In the face of almost unanimous opposition, Mussolini submitted his resignation as editor of Avanti!" (Young Mussolini and the Intellectual Origins of Fascism) During World War I, Mussolini publicized his new synthesis of nationalism and socialism, contrasting his view with orthodox Marxist internationalism. As violent verbal and physical clashes between Mussolini's followers and the Socialist Party escalated, Mussolini finally opted to cast aside the "socialist" label. But he freely admitted that his position was a hybrid of nationalism and socialism:
  
  
  
  
  

  Although Mussolini finally decided that the term "socialist" had become so debased and devoid of specific meaning that he recommended its abandonment, he was quick to remind his readers that he was prepared to assimilate everything that remained vital in the tradition. He argued that his objections to socialism were addressed to the form of socialism that had rigidified into dogma and was no longer capable of confronting concrete reality with any intellectual independence... Those socialists who chose to abandon the nation in pursuit of socialist interests not only failed in their obligations to the many who had died in a revolutionary and progressive war, but also violated the letter and the spirit of the best traditions of socialism. (A. James Gregor, Young Mussolini and the Intellectual Origins of Fascism)

  At the root of Mussolini's heresy was the realization that a socialism based on concrete tribal affections would appeal far more to the "man in the street" than a socialism based on the abstract solidarity of the international proletariat. Eliminating domestic class conflict would allow Italy to industrialize and become a great power. The galvanizing Enemy naturally became the foreigner rather than the capitalist. Again quoting Gregor, "Mussolini insisted that the only socialism that would be viable in the twentieth century would be a socialism committed to national development, both economic and political. The commitment to national tasks involved fundamental common interests uniting all the special economic and parochial interests of the population."
  Mussolini's heresy thrived not because he repudiated socialism, but rather because he and threw out Marxism's internationalist bathwater but kept the socialist baby. He was therefore able to appeal to socialist sentiment and Italian jingoism at the same time. "To insist, as did the orthodox socialists and communists, that so many Italians had died in the benighted service of capitalism left many Italian families, bereft of their sons and fathers, without dignity or consolation." (A. James Gregor, Young Mussolini and the Intellectual Origins of Fascism) Instead Mussolini reached out to veterans and their families as well as other segments of Italian society sympathetic to his message. One of these segments, unsurprisingly, were other disaffected socialists; quoting Gregor, "the rank and file membership of the socialist organizations began to defect in large numbers, and soon over half a million workers were organized in Fascist syndicates. Socialism gave every evidence of disintegration." Or rather, orthodox socialism gave every evidence of disintegration. In would not be long before the former leader of the Socialist Party was the dictator of Italy, Italy's official ideology was his heretical socialist doctrine.
  Stalinist invective against Trotsky, proclaiming him an arch-enemy of socialism, has long met with historians' ridicule. The official Comintern line on fascism, however, met with far less skepticism then and since, but it is hard to see why. Mussolini's struggle with the Italian socialists was, like the conflict between Stalinists and Trotskyists, an intra-socialist struggle. Both were a mixture of personality clashes and relatively minor ideological differences within the totalitarian camp.

DC Metro Police Escorted SEIU Terrorists to Bank Of America Executive’s Home

The family of Greg Baer, Bank of America executive, is located in a jurisdiction protected by the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), which responded promptly to a disturbance call from his neighborhood last weekend. 

According to Corporal Dan Friz, an MCPD spokesperson in Rockville, Maryland, the department received a disturbance call from one of Baer’s neighbors at 4:10 pm last Sunday. Four MCPD units arrived at Baer’s Greenville Rd. address at 4:15 pm. At least two Metropolitan Police Department units from the nearby District of Columbia were already at the scene when they arrived.

Why? Because police cars attached to the Washington MPD’s Civil Disturbance Unit had escorted the SEIU protesters’ buses to Baer’s home. Such cross-jurisdictional escort activity is not uncommon for both departments according to Friz and Metro Police Department spokesperson Officer Eric Frost. Still, the District police did not inform their colleagues of what was about to happen in one of their Maryland neighborhoods.

Commentary

I wonder how this story would have played out had it been a Tea Party planning to protest at the home of a Lefty Movie Star, Politician, or leader of a Lefty Non-Profit Group? Or perhaps the homes of SEIU leaders or donors?

The answer is that Tea Parties don't do this because it is an immoral violation of what America stands for. Ask yourself what you would do or how you would feel if 500 or so people decamped onto your property to protest where you worked, or actions you had taken at work that they disagreed with. This is nothing more than political terrorism meant to intimidate political opponents.

If this doesn't fit the very definition of terrorism, then there is no such thing.

The article dares to compare the real ethnic cleansing operations the Chinese have been able to complete almost in its entirety, to Israel's self defensive measures inside Gaza, after enduring over eight thousand rocket attacks from the Hamas run strip.

Why does Jodie Evans merit such face time with the president even though she acts as an agent of influence for the anti-American governments of Iran, Cuba and Venezuela, as well as Middle Eastern terrorists?
Jodie Evans helped rally the Los Angeles progressive community to Obama’s side by co-hosting the first Hollywood fundraiser for Obama in February 2007 along with her partner (and ex-husband) Max Palevsky and the Dreamworks trio of Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen. Jodie Evans went on to be appointed a fund raiser for Obama.
Over the life of the campaign, Jodie Evans became one of Obama’s top donors, giving the maximum $2300 to his respective primary and general election funds and tens of thousands of dollars more to the Obama Victory Fund, a joint Obama-Democratic National Committee fund.
Jodie Evans issued several public endorsements of Obama during the campaign targeting the progressive community.
Jodie Evans and Code Pink hosted a get out the vote training effort for Obama in October 2008.
That Jodie Evans is a respected power-player in the Democratic party is no surprise. She worked for Gov. Jerry Brown and managed his 1992 presidential campaign. However, the mainstream media continually gives Jodie Evans a pass, as was noted in this LA Weekly article from 2003 that chastised the Los Angeles Times for ignoring Jodie Evans’ role as a state Democratic party operative in an article on efforts to stave off the recall of her longtime colleague, Gov. Gray Davis.
What is surprising, or should be, is how upfront she is about her pro-terrorist politics and how accepting Obama and her fellow Democrats are of her. That someone with Jodie Evans’ background operates at the presidential level in American politics is extremely disturbing.
Last year, right before Jodie Evans attended another high dollar event for Obama, she gave a radio interview in which she sympathized with Osama bin Laden about his reasons for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks that murdered nearly 3000 Americans and foreign nationals.

In my opinion, these investigative efforts are better than the dead-end Obama Birth Certificate craze.



Here is my standard answer (and challenge) to the Obama Birthers:

Even *IF* you could prove that Obama was born outside the USA, there is nothing that would be done about it.


The Supreme Court is very unlikely to act upon it. There just simply aren't enough justices who are willing to cause a Constitutional Crisis.


There are also not enough votes in either the US House or Senate to even get an impeachment rolling.


Those are the stone cold facts.


If people want to investigate something, there are plenty of people in the House of Representatives and the US Senate to investigate. There are also plenty of groups like ACORN, SEIU, Unions, Media Matters, George Soros and hundreds of other people and organizations where your time would be better spent.


And, an even better project would be organizing voters and registering conservative voters at the precinct level. Too many people who call themselves conservatives have never once darkened the door of their local party headquarters to volunteer for canvassing and other party-building activities...nor have they helped raise funds.


That is the tragedy of why people like Obama can get elected.

Who is DeMaurice Smith, and what part do politics play into his opposition to a nationally known conservative being part of a group seeking to be part owners of an NFL franchise?







DeMaurice Smith has been the NFL Players Executive Director since March of 2009. He was formerly an attorney with Patton Boggs. He was named one of “The Top Fifteen Black White-Collar Criminal Defense Attorneys” by Corporate Crime Reporter in 2007. He has also given a lot of money to Democratic candidates, including Barack Obama.


He gave $2,000 to John F Kerry in 2004 and $3,300 to Barack Obama in 2008.


He has also given $500 to the DC Representative to the House of Representatives, Eleanor Norton Holmes...a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. 


He has also given to the Democratic Party of Virginia and to Senator Evan Bayh.


Don't you think that politics had a little something to do with DeMaurice Smith's opposition to Limbaugh, a conservative, being part of a group that is seeking to be part owners of an NFL Franchise?


I certainly do.

Che Guevara's Whacking -- A Glorious Anniversary

Today is a glorious day for those who love freedom and hate tyranny. 40 years ago today, the murderous thug known as Che Guevara was executed on October 9, 2009!!! (I would support the addition of this day as a national holiday).


In honor of this wonderful anniversary, I am linking to a couple of articles, the first from American Thinker, and the second to The Freedom Fighter's Journal. I hope you enjoy them and have a hearty laugh at the expense of Lefties every where.

Forty two years ago today, Ernesto "Che" Guevara got a major dose of his own medicine. Without trial he was declared a murderer, stood against a wall and shot. Historically speaking, justice has rarely been better served. If the saying "What goes around comes around" ever fit, it's here.


"When you saw the beaming look on Che's face as the victims were tied to the stake and blasted apart by the firing squad," said a former Cuban political prisoner, to your humble servant, "you saw there was something seriously, seriously wrong with Che Guevara." As commander of the La Cabana execution yard, Che often shattered the skull of the condemned man (or boy) by firing the coup de grace himself. When other duties tore him away from his beloved execution yard, he consoled himself by viewing the slaughter. Che's second-story office in La Cabana had a section of wall torn out so he could watch his darling firing-squads at work.


A Rumanian journalist named Stefan Bacie visited Cuba in early 1959 and was fortunate enough to get an audience with the already quasi-famous Ernesto "Che" Guevara. Upon entering Castro's chief executioner's office, Bacie noticed Che motioning him over to the office's newly constructed window. Bacie got there just in time to hear the command of FUEGO!, hear the blast from the firing squad and see a condemned prisoner crumple and convulse


The stricken journalist immediately left and composed a poem, titled, "I No Longer Sing of Che." ("I no longer sing of Che any more than I would of Stalin," go the first lines.)


Even as a youth, Ernesto Guevara's writings revealed a serious mental illness. "My nostrils dilate while savoring the acrid odor of gunpowder and blood. Crazy with fury I will stain my rifle red while slaughtering any vencido that falls in my hands! With the deaths of my enemies I prepare my being for the sacred fight and join the triumphant proletariat with a bestial howl!" This passage is from Ernesto Guevara's famous Motorcycle Diaries, though Robert Redford somehow overlooked it while directing his heart-warming movie.

In August of 1960, a year and a half after Che Guevara entered Havana ahead of his "column" of "guerrillas," Time magazine featured the revolutionary comandante on its cover and crowned him the "Brains of the Cuban Revolution." (Fidel Castro was "the heart" and Raul Castro "the fist.")

Time magazine was in perfect sync with her major-media peers -- utterly wrong. Guevara was no more the brains of the Cuban Revolution than Cheka-head Felix Drezhinsky had been the brains of the Bolshevik Revolution, or Gestapo chief Himmler the brains of the National Socialist Revolution, or KGB head Beria the brains behind Stalinism. In fact Che performed the same role for Fidel Castro as Drezhinsky performed for Lenin, Himmler for Hitler and Beria for Stalin. Che Guevara was the Castro regime's chief executioner.

Commentary


When you see someone wearing a piece of clothing celebrating Che Guevara, you can know that that person (most likely a college student or a Lefty professor) is honoring a murderer who gloried in killing people. 


An odd thing I have noticed is that many Ron Paul Supporters also seem to love Che Guevara, or at least they have promoted Ron Paul as a Che Guevara type of hero. These types of people are as clueless about the world as their Lefty Cousins who celebrate Che's murders.

Tempers Flare at Des Moines Health Care Town Hall

Here are some more videos of people at Town Halls. This one was in Des Moines, Iowa and Senator Tom Harkin was the Democrat shill for Obama Care, otherwise known as HR 3200.

(Download it here or read it at Open Congress) I urge you to read it. It seems all the Democrat legislators are doing is dragging out the Administrative talking points and repeating them.

This first video is after the meeting begins. A man challenges what Senator Harkin has said, and immediately, a lefty lays hands on the man (that legally constitutes battery) and tries to shut him up. He seems surprised that other people in the audience are defending the other man's right to speak. Another lefty comes right up to the man, and sticks his fingers in the face of the man opposing Harkin and tells him to "go home". That's right. The lefty said for a man expressing his right to speak in a public meeting is told to go home.

As if that weren't enough...the Senator then says that the man was sent to the meeting to disrupt it by a national organization. The man is indignant. I would be, too. Senator Tom Harkin has been partaking of the Kool-Aid that has been dispensed by the Obama Administration and spread far and wide by the Legacy Media.

The only thing that kept that man from getting dragged out of that meeting was the presence of many others who agreed with him, or were at least willing to stand up for him and his Constitutional Rights. If it had been dark, I daresay that man would have suffered far more for expressing himself at the hands of Liberal Thugs.

"I will take some questions. Boy, it is really hot. I just apologize for that," Harkin said, just before he called upon a woman kneeling on the floor, holding a video camera in her hand.

"Senator, I was wondering why the push for a public plan, a single-payor plan, when obviously the public seems very much against it?" Heather Stancel of Earlham said.

Some in the crowd started shouting Stancel down. Harkin asked his people in the crowd to pipe down.

"Will you let her ask her question, please?" Harkin said. "I beg of you. Let's be generous and kind to one another. She has a legitimate question and I will try to answer it as best I can. Please."

"You are correct. There are a lot of people scared out there, however, it the bone of contention seems the public plan. Reform is great. Reform is excellent, however, common sense reform is important," Stancel said, concluding with this: "I think a lot of people agree that capitalism is the best way to regulate insurance companies."

Lots of applause and whistling from the crowd, the Harkin began: "Well, I'd only respond by saying capitalism, whatever that means in this broad context..."

The crowd erupted. "You don't know what it means?" one man shouted. Another yelled: "Are you socialist/communist?"

Harkin continued: "If it is the best way to regulate, then why do we spend more than any other country in the world and why are we 37th in the world in our health status? You know, that's what's happening right now. Insurance companies are overcharging. The pharmaceutical companies are overcharging."

What happened at the Town Hall in Iowa is exactly what Lefties are afraid of. They are afraid that regular Americans will get a chance to ask questions and challenge their elected representatives on a bill that will be voted upon soon. They are afraid because we are reading the bill, and know what is in it. They are afraid that we won't keep quiet as they try to force us to become a Socialist Society.

This is why they are trying to say that we are paid shills, or try to misdirect the discussion by manufacturing rage over those who exercise their right to observe the Second Amendment.

They are trying to shut down the voices of their fellow Americans.

Town Halls Turn Violent, Courtesy Healthcare Reformers and Unions

I think the above photos show the influence that the left, and their supporters in the Unions are having on political discourse in our nation. Of course, if either of the politicians at the events pictured above had an ounce of courage, they would have made the effort to speak to the overflowing crowd of people who had to both hear the politician and to be heard by the politician.

There are bits and pieces of the Town Hall that took place in Tampa, Florida last night being posted, but so far, none that provide a serial narrative of the events.

And the coward who is the elected representative of the people of Tampa, Kathy Castor, did not bother to even try to address these people who showed up. Or was it a case of arrogance? My own Congressman, Heath Shuler, has chickened out of holding real Town Halls, and will be holding a couple of Tele-Town Halls. I'll keep you apprised of when they will be held, and post the audio from them if i am able.

I suppose it must be too hard for him to hold Town Halls in every county of the 11th Congressional District of North Carolina, huh? Especially when he has nearly a month of vacation coming up. So much for Mountain Values.

Lefties upset over anti-Obama stickers Where have they been for the past eight years?

The Obama-Joker poster shows President Obama with white face paint, dark eye shadow and smudged red lipstick and also has the word "socialism" printed in bold, dark letters under the image of his face.

It's unclear who created the image and who is posting it across the city. No one has taken credit so far.

Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable President Earl Ofari Hutchinson is calling the depiction, politically mean spirited and dangerous.

Hutchinson is challenging the group or individual that put up the poster to have the courage and decency to publicly identify themselves.

"Depicting the president as demonic and a socialist goes beyond political spoofery," says Hutchinson, "it is mean-spirited and dangerous."

"We have issued a public challenge to the person or group that put up the poster to come forth and publicly tell why they have used this offensive depiction to ridicule President Obama."

The poster has also gone viral online, crashing the website that first posted images of it and rising to the top of Google's "Today's Hot Trends" list.

If you took any of the above, or, indeed any show of hatred toward Bush and inserted Obama's name or likeness in it's place, and we suddenly see the Left (and their Ron Paul brothers) exposed.

It is truly laughable at the number of things that Bush has been blamed for in this world. He is blamed when he does something (anything) and he is blamed when he does nothing. He is blamed for things that occurred even before he was President, as well as everything that has happened since. What makes Bush Hatred completely insane however, is the almost delusional degree of unremitting belief in Bush's evil; while simultaneously believing that the TRUE representatives of evil in the world are somehow good and decent human beings with the world's interests at heart.

This psychological defense mechanism is referred to as "displacement". One way you can usually tell that an individual is using displacement is that the emotion being displaced (e.g., anger) is all out of proportion to the reality of the situation.The purpose of displacement is to avoid having to cope with the actual reality. Instead, by using displacement, an individual is able to still experience his or her anger, but it is directed at a less threatening target than the real cause. In this way, the individual does not have to be responsible for the consequences of his/her anger and feels more safe. How else to explain the remarkable and sometimes lunatic appeasement of Islamofascists by so many governments and around the world? (e.g. here)

A very good example of displacement that comes to mind is the plot of an old movie called "The Seven Percent Solution",which is about Sherlock Holmes' intense obsession with Moriarity. In Holmes' mind (distorted somewhat by the use of cocaine) Moriarity is the master criminal who must be stopped at all costs. He is evil incarnate, and the source of all the diabolical events of the world (sound familiar?).

Not until the end of the movie, under hypnosis by Sigmund Freud, do we discover that in truth, Mr. Moriarity was Sherlock's hopelessly mundane math teacher, who happened to be having an affair with Holmes' mother and escaped when Holmes' father murdered her (with the young Sherlock looking on). This event in his youth apparently traumatized Holmes to such an extent, he was eventually driven to using drugs to eradicate it from his memory. And pursuing the mythical genius of crime--instead of holding his father or his mother to account.

I submit to you that this is exactly the same process going on now in the minds of many of the Bush Haters. They want desperately to forget that there is a tidal wave of terror reverberating around the world and to pretend that everything is America and Bush's fault. So what do they do? They lionize terrorists like Arafat. They explain away the horror and brutality of Zarqawi and his followers. They support Palestinian suicide bombings and vote for resolutions against Israel. They believe that Osama is a reasonable person, but that Bush is not. They threaten violence toward Bush and hold demonstrations; and implement Sharia Law in their country without a qualm. Hundreds of their fellow countrymen are murdered by terrorists, but they demand that their troops be pulled out of Iraq (thinking that if they hadn't cooperated with the evil BushHitler, their countrymen would have been spared).

Rather than blame the terrorists; rather than admitting they have to take action against them; their fear is transformed to anger and displaced onto President Bush. If everything is his fault, then the reality of what happened does not have to be faced (this also explains the intense psychological denial that these same individuals tend to have about 9/11). Bush thus becomes the "criminal mastermind", so devious, so evil, that everything he says is a "lie", everything he does is part of a vast global conspiracy. His family has intimate ties to Bin Laden and the Saudis; He is trying to avenge the insult to his father by getting rid of Saddam; He plans world domination etc. etc. I could go on an on, but you get the point.

Lefty Transgenders Mock Mormon Church Burning

Lefties are always the first to tell us that they are kind, tolerant and somehow better than people they view as "un-evolved" on matters are dear to them. The Lefty LGBT (Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Transgendered) community are even less kind, tolerant, and delight in attacking Conservatives in general and the conservative religious in particular.

Let me be the first to say... Holy Smoke! CAMBRIDGE -- A fire broke out this morning during a meeting at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints outside Harvard Square in Cambridge, sending members spilling out onto the street. The blaze, which hit three alarms, began at 10:37 a.m. in the church at at 4 Longfellow Park, off Brattle Street, according to Cambridge Fire Department Supervisor Kirk Warner. No injuries have been reported. According to Cambridge Fire Chief Gerald Reardon, the fire, which was fought with 22 engines, seven ladder companies, and about 80 firefighters, was brought under control sometime after noon. Reardon said the fire started in the attic, but he did not know the cause. An extra-large crowd of about 300 were in attendence at the time. No one was hurt in the blaze. More below the fold.
