Lefty Transgenders Mock Mormon Church Burning

Lefties are always the first to tell us that they are kind, tolerant and somehow better than people they view as "un-evolved" on matters are dear to them. The Lefty LGBT (Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Transgendered) community are even less kind, tolerant, and delight in attacking Conservatives in general and the conservative religious in particular.

One of the most mean-spirited of them is Pam's House Blend, where I found this entry, a portion of which is excerpted below. Just be sure to shower the filth off after you read if you decide to follow the link for the whole article and conversation that follows: (I have not corrected spelling errors in the article below...LOL)

Let me be the first to say... Holy Smoke!

CAMBRIDGE -- A fire broke out this morning during a meeting at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints outside Harvard Square in Cambridge, sending members spilling out onto the street.

The blaze, which hit three alarms, began at 10:37 a.m. in the church at at 4 Longfellow Park, off Brattle Street, according to Cambridge Fire Department Supervisor Kirk Warner. No injuries have been reported.

According to Cambridge Fire Chief Gerald Reardon, the fire, which was fought with 22 engines, seven ladder companies, and about 80 firefighters, was brought under control sometime after noon. Reardon said the fire started in the attic, but he did not know the cause.

An extra-large crowd of about 300 were in attendence at the time. No one was hurt in the blaze.

More below the fold.

I checked the link you provided, TP. Given that I usually read Pam's House Blend, I would have likely seen the article anyway. My question is this: Where exactly did you get your little "holy smoke" comment? I didn't see it there, but perhaps I missed it. What I did see more than anything, was people from the LGBT community expressing concern for the folks who lost their church, as some of them have lost theirs. I even saw some suggesting helping out the folks who lost their church, and a comment commending the firefighters and EMT's who answered the call. Yes, I saw some who commented on the Mormon's anti-gay beliefs. But nothing to warrent your comment about "showering off filth", unless of course, you consider all LGBT folks filth, and were just saying that so that folks wouldn't actually go to the link and catch your use of innuendo and misdirection.

As for your snide little title for your post, I for one really don't appreciate the outright lie it presents, and yes, IT IS A LIE. "Lefty transgenders"? Exactly where do you get this from? Because some of the folks who read or write for Pam's House Blend happen to be transgender, you decide to use them as your scapegoat? I used to think you were better than this kind of nonsense. I see I was wrong.

Everything in the grey was copied and pasted from the diary at the House Blend...the article has been edited since I copied and pasted.

Typical for a lefty blog to send stuff down the memory hole without comment.

You "conveniently" ignore the racist comment on the blog...

"Pretty darned white crowd here, folks. "

That is a racist comment, and you ignore it. How would you like me to comment on a crowd comprised of mostly or all balck people by saying..."that's a darned black crowd, folks."?

And how about this little statement that was responding to this...

"We are anxious for young people in our church to find each other, and make marriages," said Dredge.

and the hate-filled blogger wrote...

"All the quicker to make new little members, I bet. "

I see zero concern in those statements. In point of fact, I see hate. A typical kind of hate expressed by homosexuals toward those who believe differently than they do. A very intolerant hate. The kind of thing they accuse their opponents of my dear little "advocate".

I consider hate to be filth. And I find your ignorant (willful or not) blindness to hate from the left typical.

My title stands because Pam's House Blend and the majority of her diarists are lefties, and it is a hang out for people who have crossed the gender lines...hence transgendered.

Your "manufactured" outrage does not disturb me in the least.

...and as a further note...here are just a few of the gleeful and hate-filled comments about the fire copied and pasted since you can't seem to notice them over there...

everything below is from Pam's House of Hate....

Since the Church is tax exempt (0.00 / 0)
who picks up the tab for the 22 engines, seven ladder companies, and about 80 firefighters who fought the fire? Can the LDS Church expect to receive a bill from the Cambridge FD for services rendered?

The thing is that the Christians are always siccing God on anyone who doesn't hate others enough. For example, Pat Robertson sends hurricanes to Florida because Disney World has a Gay Day. Jerry Falwell said that 9/11 was a Godly punishment of the United States for allowing gay people to exist.
So, if God punishes everyone who is not a good, hateful Christian, how can anyone explain when He allows a church like this one to burn to the ground? Is someone in its congregation insufficiently bigoted to please God?

"Jerry Falwell said that 9/11 was a Godly punishment of the United States for allowing gay people to exist."
**********

And the funny thing about that is his God croaked his glutton ass about 5 years after making those statements about 9/11 and gay people.

Not to mention a hilariously ungraceful death.

Sorry TP. The article was never headed with the "Holy Smoke" comment, that came from one of the comments posted later, and you know it.

Yes, the "pretty darn white crowd" comment is racist. And it was only one comment, of many that weren't.

You cherry picked comments, TP, and ignored the majority. You deliberately ignored those who sympathised with the church goer's loss, and there were quite a few of them. Should I say that's typical right wing extremist tactics?

I agree with your comment on hate being "filth". Perhaps you need to clean up your own act, TP. Your hatred showed in how you headed your article, using "lefty transgenders". Can you say scapegoating? It's also an outright lie, unless you can claim to know which posters are Trans or not. If anything is manufactured here, it's you running the factory.

Since you enjoyed digging for the comments from the article to make the LGBT community look bad, here's a few that put yours to shame:

Seriously, this. Why even court the possibility of looking gleeful at anther's misfortune? I'm relieved that everyone is okay, and i wish their community the best in putting things back together.

It is news here (4.00 / 1)
because recently there was a post (can't remember exact one) where it was stated that LGBT folk would be attacking those of faith. That this happened in MA and on the 5th anniversary of MA passing their equal marriage law- you really think it will pass notice by fundies?
FWIW, I lost my only sibling to a house fire a few years ago. For the rest of my life, I will remember the smell of my sister's home afterwards, as I tried to salvage some mementos for our parents, who were unable to handle the emotional drain of flying 1000 miles to do it themselves. Seeing the spot where the firefighters found her body is permanently ingrained in me. I would also NEVER wish a fire on ANYONE, not even my worst enemy. The devastation is horrendous.

I do NOT joke, take pleasure in someone else's property loss, let alone in the potential injury or loss of life. Fire terrifies me and most likely always will.

For as large a fire as this was, the local FFs and all emergency responders deserve alot of credit.

Priorities (0.00 / 0)
First - no-one hurt - that's the most important thing. And I don't care what their beliefs are, nor how homophobic or transphobic they might be. They are people, like me, even if they don't see me as a person.
Second - it was a nice piece of architecture, and I'm sorry to see it destroyed. It also had many memories for people, and the total unhappiness in the world has increased because of its loss. This is not Good.

Third - don't know if it will be blamed on Teh Gay, wouldn't surprise me if it was though, alas.

If I was there, I'd volunteer to help with the rebuild. Making darn sure that they know that I'm one of the people they'd deny human rights to, but am helping my neighbors anyway, because that's what decent people do.

Doing something like this that makes bigots really angry, as they have no defence against it. It also makes people think, it's the best form of propaganda. The early Christian Church used this tactic to great effect in Imperial Rome.

Be warned though - keep on acting as if you genuinely cared for these bigots, and you can easily end up believing your own propaganda. Loving the sinner while hating the sin, turning the other cheek, forgiving enemies etc. Even if you're a committed atheist who thinks the whole of "Christianity" is horse-puckey.

There is no situation so complex it can't get even worse

I don't think any of us (0.00 / 0)
know the individual beliefs of all the members of this congregation. Not all Mormons oppose equality. Cambridge is blazing blue so it stands to reckon that we have some supporters there. But it does not matter in this context anyhow. The important thing is that no lives were lost and while I am sure there is a great deal of sentimental attachment, a beautiful new church can be built.

And while you defend it any way you like, your title is still inflammatory and a lie.

You lie, Jessica. I copied and pasted the article moments after it hit my RSS Reader.

The only thing I showed hate toward was the hate and mocking of the poster and some of the commentersm, and I stand by that as I stand by the title.

Thank you for commenting.

I am not fair and balanced...I merely point to what I see and attempy to bring the light of truth to my readers.

I urge you, and all others in the LGBT Community to seek salvation and turn from your sin. Here is a little essay on that point.

I pray that as many in the LGBT Community find salvation as possible before it is too late.

RSS reader? Sorry, I read it directly from the website, and no, it did not appear as you claim. (I actually read it as it was posted, before coming to your site.) Perhaps the feed was different, I'll give you that much. Your inflammatory lie in your title still stands though. Nice to know you're willing to scapegoat an entire group of people for no reason other than to be petty. It might not be hate, but it isn't very Christian either. As for my being a sinner, pot meet kettle.
I'll pray for you too.

Jessica Britton

Thunder & Jessica,

Perhaps I can help. It does appear that the original title is the one that Thunder Pig posted above and that it was edited by the author after a commenter named Pollyanna brought her attention to the tone of the title and the attitude it implied. (See the exchange below.) Note that Louise comments that it wasn't the tone she intended and indicates that she has deleted something, presumably the title which contained "Holy Smoke".

Best regards.

=================

Maybe we could make this a regular feature on the Blend. (4.00 / 1)
Say, the next time a mosque gets suicide bombed somewhere, we could run with it. Holy Smoke! After all, those Muslims are ALL wannabe gay killers, right?
Those Southern Baptists! Think of where all the hurricanes hit in the Bible belt! Hey, those nasty Catholics recently had a pretty destructive fire at Holy Name Cathedral in my city. Served 'em right, I guess. We'll have endless material.

What's funny about that LDS church burning down? What's even interesting about it?

Peace.

Thank you, Anonymous. My apologies, I was wrong about the editing, and I thank you for correcting me.

This also shows that the folks at Pam's House Blend were able to recognize their hurtful and insulting comment, and correct it early on. Nice to know someone's adult enough to do that.
