Cowee and Nantahala Fire Departments were dispatched at 9:14 pm last night for a search along the Appalachian Trail area between Tellico Gap and Wesser Bald for a missing person reported to be operating a motorcycle on the Appalachian Trail. MAMA-1 joined the search for a time but has had to return to Asheville due to fuel concerns. Firefighters are still searching as of 3:50 am, when this report was filed.
**5:02 am** Local public safety personnel have told WLOS that they're looking for "18-year-old Harley Cochran was last seen at 5:30 Tuesday night. He told his family he was going to ride his dirt bike on the forest trails. He hasn't been seen since."
LOCAL OUTLOOK
Drier and cooler air will bring the possibility of frosty conditions again on Thursday morning. Dry conditions are expected to persist through the remainder of the work week before another cold front moves into the area over the weekend. This front is expected to increase chances for precipitation Saturday and into Sunday, with modest cooling and drying expected behind the front to start next week.

The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 AM EDT Thursday.

For the North Atlantic...The Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. A broad area of low pressure over Nicaragua, Honduras, and the adjacent Caribbean waters is producing widespread, but disorganized, showers and thunderstorms. Close proximity to land is likely to limit development of this system for the next day or so. However, environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for some development to occur later this week while the system moves slowly northward over the northwestern Caribbean Sea. Regardless of development, locally heavy rains are likely over portions of Central America during the next several days.
