Hazards and Tropical Weather
A few thunderstorms may move in from the west this evening or overnight, bringing a threat of isolated damaging wind gusts. Additional showers and storms are expected to develop Thursday afternoon, with a few strong storms possible across mainly the Georgia Piedmont and southern Upstate.
Another dynamic storm system will cross the area over the weekend, bringing a round of showers and embedded thunderstorms. A few severe storms may be possible Saturday night into Sunday, but there is a lot of uncertainty in the exact strength and timing of this system.
