A Berry For My Sweetheart, and A Flock of Cedar Waxwings


A pair of Cedar Waxwings?



Yep, they're Cedar Waxwings! (Bombycilla cedrorum)



There were about 50 or so in the flock, but this was the best behaved for photographing. I photographed them in a Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides) located next to Hunter Library on the campus of Western Carolina University. If you've never heard them, take a listen. And, I'll leave you with one heading for the berry patch:
