LOCAL OUTLOOK
A low-pressure system will bring widespread heavy rainfall to the area through early Thursday. Drying high pressure will then briefly build back in behind the low to end the work week. A wet cold front will approach the area late Friday and impact the forecast area over the weekend.

Winds will be from the northeast early, then from the northwest in the afternoon. 100% chance of rain with rainfall accumulations between 1 and 2 inches possible. There is a chance of thunderstorms today, mainly between 10 am and 5 pm with the greatest chance (30% to 50%) around noon.
