Giuliani Gave to Planned Parenthood (At least 6 times!)

Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani in his campaign appearances this year has stated that he personally abhors abortion, even though he supports keeping a legal right to choose. But records show that in the '90s he contributed money at least six times to Planned Parenthood, one of the country's leading abortion rights groups and its top provider of abortions.

Federal tax returns made public by the former New York mayor show that he and his then-wife, Donna Hanover, made personal donations to national, state and city chapters of Planned Parenthood totaling $900 in 1993, 1994, 1998 and 1999.

Buh-Bye! Following the ejection of the annoying Rudybots from Free Republic, this is most welcome news, indeed. It should seal the fate of either Rudy or the GOP. Here is my reasoning on the matter:

This information should keep Rudy from winning the GOP Nomination because of the party plank regarding the sanctity of life. This man has given money to an organization responsible for the slaughter of millions of unborn children. His fake 'discovery' of strict constructionism is as fake as his abhorence to abortion. Almost all his judicial appointments to the judiciary before have been of liberal judges. I don't expect that to change. Should enough be deceived into voting for Rudy, then there will be alot of GOP voters sitting on their hands, or voting as members of another party come November 2008.

Remember November! Remember November 2006..Rudy would be a fine cabinet member, perhaps in DHS, NID, or DoD, but not as the Chief Executive, nor as first in line.

I'm dissapointed. I really wanted to vote for Rudy, if only because he was the only person up there who could say "I rejected and sent back a 'charity check for 9/11' back to the Saudis". He "gets it" on one of the most important issues of our time, and when our Sec of State is meeting with Syria and Iran, we need someone with a spine like Rudy. But he does NOT get it on an equally important issue, also concerning life and death. That does it for me. I hope he ends up in a cabinet position too, but I can't cast a vote for him.
