Outlook

High pressure will continue dry and mild weather into Thursday. A weak frontal system will cross the forecast area Thursday night and Friday, with a highly moist system expected Saturday night into Sunday. Very cold high pressure will build across the region early next week.

NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook

A strong cold front is expected to push through the region this weekend with gusty winds supporting rapidly falling temperatures with northwest flow snow by late in the weekend. Several inches of snow focused near the Tennessee border is possible during this time. Low temperatures in the single digits and teens are possible Sunday night with dangerously cold wind chills falling into the single digits to below zero.

Sunny, with highs in the lower 50s. Calm winds rising to come out of the northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 30. Calm winds.

Thursday

A 50 percent chance of rain, mainly after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. Calm winds rising to come out of the south around 5 mph in the afternoon. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday Night

Rain likely before 7pm, then showers likely, mainly between 7pm and 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. Light and variable winds before midnight shifting to come out of the southwest around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Friday

Partly sunny, with a high near the upper 50s.
