Outlook

Strong high pressure and dry weather will continue through today. Southerly flow will gradually permit moisture to return on Thursday. Widespread showers and thunderstorms will develop from the west Thursday night into Friday as a strong cold front approaches the region. Cooler temperatures arrive behind the front for the weekend, with lingering northwest flow moisture across the mountains on Saturday.
