Late yesterday afternoon, the rain turned to snow and many motorists had trouble staying on the roadways and either slid off the roadways or became involved in accidents. One motorist lost control of their vehicle and hit a Franklin Police Department cruiser. It was occupied at the time, but the officer and the other driver were okay. [LINK]

Macon Media hosted a community thread for people to share photos and videos and report on road conditions and to ask others about road conditions. [LINK]
