GENERAL OUTLOOK
Shower and thunderstorm are expected to cross the area today ahead of an approaching cold front. A few of these storms could be severe. The front pushes thru tonight, and ushers in dry high pressure for Tuesday. The high will settle off the Southeast coast and keep warm southerly flow across the region, resulting in well-above-normal temperatures through the end of the week.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER
A line of showers and thunderstorms associated with a cold front is expected to move across the area from west to east early this afternoon through early evening. Some of these storms may be strong to severe with damaging winds being the main threat. Also large hail and isolated tornadoes will be possible.
