Ada Fisher Joins Lefties, RINOs in a Racially Motivated Attack on RNC Chair Candidate

This is so sad:

Earlier this month, Fisher announced her support for South Carolina chairman Katon Dawson in his bid for the head of the national party, despite a controversy over his membership in a country club that doesn't admit blacks.

Now she has criticized another candidate for the top post, Chip Saltsman, for distributing a CD as a Christmas gift that included a song by Rush Limbaugh called "Barack the Magic Negro."

"Racist actions and deeds have no place in the party," she wrote in an open letter to Saltsman. "The lack of sensitivity in understanding the historical election we just had and the challenges this nation faces as we must bind our wounds as well as bring our people together requires that we set aside our biases and search out those constitutional principles inherent in our nation's foundings and our parties operation which must undergrid us as we move forward."

Hamas is preventing hundreds of Palestinians wounded in Israeli air strikes from leaving Gaza for treatment in Egypt, Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit said on Sunday.

"The wounded are barred from crossing" into Egypt, the only country other than Israel that borders the Hamas-controlled territory, Abul Gheit said during a news conference with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas.

Asked why the wounded were not being let through, Abul Gheit said: "Ask those who control Gaza. We are waiting for the wounded to cross -- they're not allowed to cross."

Well, Israel finally started to defend herself against terrorists, and all the lefties, antisemites and pro-terrorist people come out of the woodwork to 'condemn Israel'. The military wing affiliated to Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades released a statement on Thursday morning briefing the group's military activities over the first twenty four hours of an operation they called “Oil Stain” which started Wednesday morning.

According to the statement, a total of 87 shells have been fired at Israeli targets bordering the Gaza Strip including 54 mortar shells, 31 homemade projectiles which Hamas calls “Qassam”, and two Soviet-made Grad missiles.

Al-Qassam Brigades threatened to enlarge the “Oil Stain” to get more thousands of Israelis “under fire”. The group asserted that its fighters are “far greater than surrendering to Israeli threats and that they became much more prepared to counter Israeli aggression and to defend themselves than in the past.”

Here is an account by the BBC, from "the BBC's Rushdi Aboualouf," their man in Gaza (well, Tim Franks is the primary anti-Israel propagandist in Gaza, but Rushdi Abaoulouf is apparently a member of the local supporting staff), an account meant to be entirely unsympathetic, of course, to Israel and of course meant to win our sympathy for the "Palestinians" who have done nothing to deserve any of this:

Why would such a big friend of Israel be so silent about the nation defending herself? Well, here's a message to the gullible 78% of Jews that voted for Obama--He is NOT pro-Israel. That's why he was strangely silent today. The man who's Mid-East advisers include the Israel-hating Samantha Power, Robert Malley and Richard Lugar was quiet when he could have shown Israel some support. That silence speaks volumes. If he was pro-Israel he would have said something. That's because the President-elect is not ready to play his anti-Israel hand. But don't worry he won't be silent in the future, but supporters of Israel will WISH he stayed silent.

Here is a report of a call for a third Intifada:

Khaled Meshaal, the political leader of Hamas, has called for Palestinians to wage a new intifada against Israel, including a return to suicide missions.

In an interview on Al Jazeera, Meshaal said: "We called for a military intifada against the enemy. Resistance will continue through suicide missions."

Meshaal's call came after Israel hammered Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, killing at least 220 people in one of the bloodiest days of the decades-long Middle East conflict.

Meshaal said Hamas had accepted "all the peaceful options, but without results."

He said that for there to be any talks with the people of Gaza, "the blockade must be lifted and the crossings [from Israel] opened ... notably that in Rafah," which leads to Egypt.

Why did today's events occur? The list of causes is a long one and of course depends who you are asking. Here are five of the most salient factors as I see them:

(1) Never forget the basics - the core issue is still an unresolved conflict about ending an occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state - everything has to start from here to be serious (this is true also for Hamas who continue to heavily hint that they will accept the 1967 borders).

(2) The immediate backdrop begins with the Israeli disengagement from Gaza of summer 2005, ostensibly a good move, except one that left more issues open than it resolved. It was a unilateral initiative, so there was no coordinating the 'what happens next' with the Palestinians. Gaza was closed off to the world, the West Bank remained under occupation and what had the potential to be a constructive move towards peace became a source of new tensions - something many of us pointed out at the time (supporting withdrawal from Gaza, opposing how it was done).

(3) U.S., Israeli and international policy towards Hamas has greatly exacerbated the situation. Hamas participated in and won democratic elections to the Palestinian Legislative Council in January 2006. Rather than test the Hamas capacity to govern responsibly and nurture Hamas further into the political arena and away from armed struggle, the U.S.-led international response was to hermetically seal-off Hamas, besiege Gaza, work to undemocratically overthrow the Hamas government and thereby allow Hamas to credibly claim that a hypocritical standard was being applied to the American democracy agenda.

Death toll is now over 220. Were these policemen the ones who fired the rockets? I doubt it. And I doubt that they could have done anything about it. Recently, the rocket firers hit two Palestinian girls and killed them. It is beyond stupid and very evil for them to fire rockets at Israel.

But is it vastly more evil for Israel to do this in response, and vastly more stupid too. It will only result in a continuation of the violence.

Israel’s plans to not simply stage a quick, narrow strike but to “change the rules” follows what Ha’aretz today reported was a six month preparation period:

Long-term preparation, careful gathering of information, secret discussions, operational deception and the misleading of the public - all these stood behind the Israel Defense Forces "Cast Lead" operation against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, which began Saturday morning.

The disinformation effort, according to defense officials, took Hamas by surprise and served to significantly increase the number of its casualties in the strike.

Sources in the defense establishment said Defense Minister Ehud Barak instructed the Israel Defense Forces to prepare for the operation over six months ago, even as Israel was beginning to negotiate a ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

So much for good faith negotiations.

Operation Cast Lead Begins in Gaza

Israel has finally had it with being slammed by rocket and mortar attacks from the terrorists in Gaza, and have launched an air assault code-named Cast Lead. It is unknown if ground operations will follow outside surgical strikes against leadership targets after over 200 rockets and mortars were fired into Israel over the past week.

Of course, the world-citizens and other moral cowards are quick to condemn Israel defending herself against the murderous terrorist attacks. Personally, I wish that Israel would just go ahead and use a neutron bomb and clear out the cockroaches once and for all.

Over 190 are dead so far in the Israeli air strikes, and an Arab terror strike with Kassams has killed one Israeli. Ehud Barak has said that the operation will be widened and deepened as needed.

The Israeli air attack launching some 40 missiles began 11.00 a.m. local time Saturday, Dec. 27, eight days after Hamas terminated the informal Gaza ceasefire by showering missiles and mortar rounds on Israel day by day and targeting 200,000 civilians.

Last week, the Israeli cabinet gave the Israeli military the green light for reprisals as Palestinian missile attacks escalated, 13 mortar rounds fired Friday, when Israel allowed 90 trucks of food and medicines to cross into the Gaza Strip.

Since Israel evacuated the Gaza Strip in 2005, the Palestinians have fired 5,000 missiles, but you won't hear of that in the Lefty Legacy Media.

My prayers are with the brave soldiers of Israel and her beleagured people, and I pray that the airstrikes are successful in beating down Hamas, Hizbullah and other terrorists.

Here is another look around the Internet at what news and commentary is available, and this time I will start off with a bit of a revelation: FackCheck.org lies, and lies prolifically. For example, one of their recent lies is exposed by Sweetness & Light in an article entitled, ‘Factcheck’ Posts A Year-end Whopper.

So, here is the rest of what I have found, divided into rough categories that eventually end as I have begun...with lies from the left.

The Left has edited the political dictionary in a way that determines how we are able to think about politics and ideology. A prime example is the word, "Capitalism," an invention of the silly and evil Karl Marx. It is instructive how deeply this semantic pathology has reached that people who passionately opposed the manifest horror of socialism reflexively reach back to words like "Capitalism" to describe what they believe to be good.

"Capitalism," of course, simply does not exist. It never has. Using this word to describe the vast oceans of human relationships which Marx sought to bottle up in his shibboleth "Capitalism" accomplishes only the goal which Orwell feared: It mutilates language and cripples our capacity to understand what "Capitalism" and "Socialism" really mean.

The End of Time event at the East London Mosque, which is being publicised on internet sites including Facebook, will feature a videotaped lecture from Anwar al-Awlaki, who is banned from entering the United States after allegedly acting as a spiritual adviser to three of the September 11 terrorists.

Palestinian threats: An Israeli invasion of Gaza would draw a harsh Palestinian response, including the kidnapping of more Israeli soldiers, a spokesman for the Popular Resistance Committees warned Friday.
Specifically, the group would aim to kidnap a female soldier, the PRC's Abu Abir told the Nazareth-based Arb al-Dahel.
"The resistance movement is talking about the abduction of a female soldier, and we're certain we'll succeed," he said. "Then, Gilad Shalit will be able to start a family, and the negotiations will be for the release of the Shalit family."

Last week the French capital Paris was startled by a new terrorist threat. Last Tuesday the famous department store Printemps was evacuated after a bomb threat. Not without reason, as it turned out: in the toilets of the department store, five (albeit useless) sticks of dynamite were found.

The letter that warned of the attack was placed in the postbox of the AFP news agency earlier that day. “Tell your President that he must withdraw French troops from Afghanistan before the end of February 2009, otherwise we will take action against your big capitalist stores, without warning you in advance,” the message read. The letter was signed by the “Afghan Revolutionary Front,” an organization totally unknown to the intelligence services.

While civilian casualties are not uncommon in the troubled region of Mindanao, some analysts view recent actions as the insurgents' way of pressuring the government to restart the peace process that has been stalled since August, when the government nullified a landmark agreement that would have expanded a Muslim autonomous region.

President-elect Obama stopped by the Marine Corps base in Hawaii Kaneche Bay where servicemen and -women were eating Christmas dinner in Kailua Thursday evening.

“Just wanted to say hi, hey guys,” Obama said as he walked into the Anderson dining hall which was decked out in Christmas decorations.

The diners represented seven military units -- Marine and Navy -- some of whom were joined by their families for Christmas dinner.

As Obama entered the room, it was absent of the regular fanfare of cheering and clapping. The diners were polite, staying seated at their respective tables and waited for the president-elect to come to them to stand up.

India vs Pakistan

Pakistan began moving thousands of troops from the Afghan border toward India, officials and witnesses said Friday, raising tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors and possibly undermining the U.S.-backed campaign against al-Qaida and the Taliban.

The country also announced that it was canceling all military leave in the aftermath of last month’s terror attack on the Indian financial capital of Mumbai.

The empowerment of terror in Pakistan has not happened overnight. This is the logical culmination of the politics and policies pursued by Pakistan for years now.
Terrorism in Pakistan has its roots in the culture of hate and the ethos of inequality on the ground of religious faith, leading to their being deeply ingrained in the Pakistani psyche and mindset.
One factor that has played a crucial role in creating this culture of hate is the educational policy of the government of Pakistan pursued since 1977. The officially prescribed textbooks, especially for school students, are full of references that promote hate against India in general, and Hindus in particular.

As for the much touted movement of Pakistan 3rd Independent Armored Brigade, this is the IV Corps armor reserve. It has also gone to Jhelum for training. If you are planning war, or fearing it, are you going to send your armor out of the area for training? We don't think so. Please also remember - we mentioned this a few days ago - Pakistan XI Corps Artillery from Peshawar is also doing its turn at the Jhelum ranges, so if you reports about this west-based formation moving, disregard the reports unless you hear from us.

Last, Mandeep tells us that 16 Division has returned to its station at Pano Aqil (V Corps) with at least two of its brigades. You may recall Mandeep had alerted us this division had disappeared from its regular station, He is still waiting for confirmation on what happened. We mention this in case some bright spark picks up reports that 16 Division is moving east and thinks this means more reinforcement of the India front. This division is India front based and is one of the two defensive divisions for the desert sector, and we were quite baffled as to why it moved.

On the Indian side Mandeep is in India, and our agreement is that anything he says about India cannot be published. Sensible, you don't want your sources accusing you of providing classified information - both Mandeep and the Editor are Indian citizens subject to India law.

That said: the news reports of Indian II Strike Corps (Ambala) and Indian X Corps (Bhatinda - same corps we said is opposite Multan Sector) are simply doing their winter training. The Indians are deliberately putting pressure on the Pakistanis, so all we can say is that if you choose to regard the movements of these two corps as part of India's plans to attack Pakistan, the Government of India will not be unhappy (think Governor Palin wink wink). We must very clearly state that Mandeep has not commented on the Indian movements, even personally, to us. This information is from the Editor's side.

The Obama Worship Has Begun

On Friday, Obama broke from his golf-gym-motorcade-gym-golf routine for a date with daughters Sasha and Malia. The three first visited an aquatic park where they caught a dolphin show, then the party continued over some shave ice, a local specialty, at Kokonuts Shave Ice and Snacks.

Obama also ordered a tuna melt for himself. The President-elect knows a thing or two about tuna: watch him make his signature tuna salad recipe.

And while we're on the topic of Obama's lunch, Obama befuddled the world when he ordered of spam sushi, or spam musubi earlier in the week...

I'm not certain that I want my President to be reading nearly two books a week. This isn't to say, of course, that I don't believe a President should be well read, or that the President shouldn't be allowed to have down time to do things that can, even for a short time, take his mind off the nearly unfathomably grave issues he must confront on a daily basis.

In a list of those who committed “low behavior” during 2008 (which did at least also highlight John Edwards), the magazine accused Sarah Palin of a “smear” against Barack Obama, on another page Newsweek described her as an “ill-informed, inarticulate shopaholic” (while on the same page hailing MSNBC's Rachel Maddow as a “brilliant” woman who “gives libs a happy new voice”) and deep in the December 29/January 5 edition the magazine ridiculed Bristol Palin: “For 30 years, the Moral Majority has promoted 'abstinence only.' Jamie Lynn Spears, Bristol Palin...how's that working out?”

Page 21, a list of “The Biggest Losers” of 2008 “who set the high-water mark for low behavior in 2008,” featured Palin: “In a smear that sounds even worse in retrospect, Sarah Palin goes rogue and stirs up prejudice by accusing Barack Obama of 'palling around with terrorists.'”

Cow Dung: It's For Supper in Robert Mugabe's Zimbabwe

The decades-long march to oblivion by Robert Mugabe is a disaster for the people of Zimbabwe, which was once the breadbasket of Africa.

Now, after Mugabe has run the farmers off their land and allowed squatters to take possession and farm on their own...that African nation teeters on the edge, and remains propped up by the Legacy Media types while the people have to mix cow dung with their food in order to avoid starvation. 

Harare, Dec 10, 2008 / 08:01 pm -- Caritas Internationalis is warning that the crisis in Zimbabwe is so grave that people facing crushing food shortages are mixing cow dung with their food.

With pressure continuing to mount on President Mugabe to relinquish his hold on power, Zimbabweans are suffering the consequences of his government’s policies.

Besides the lack of food, people are also suffering a cholera epidemic and crippling hyperinflation.

Caritas Internationalis Secretary General Lesley-Anne Knight reports that "people in Zimbabwe are dropping dead on the streets from Cholera. They’ve witnessed people mixing cow dung with what’s left of their food to make it go further. This is poverty at its most dehumanizing."

..... A Caritas survey in October found 70 to 90 percent of households going hungry and the remainder on the brink of starvation. At least 5.1 million people are facing starvation out of a population of 13 million people. Additionally, nearly 14,000 cases of Cholera have been reported.

The Psychopathology of Bush Hatred

The Bush hatred we are seeing in the media today belongs in the long catalogue of human psychopathology -- not rational behavior. The latest version is the shoe-throwing incident in Iraq. Iraq happens to be a hot war zone, in which tens of thousands of innocent people have been killed by hidden bombs. Bush' protective detail had no way of knowing whether an assassinaton attempt was under way, in just the way Saddam tried to assassinate George H.W. Bush, Sr. At the end of his two terms of office, the President flew to Iraq, into harm's way, knowing the dangers, to hold an open press conference. 

But our media harbor such bitter hatred for him that they turned a potential bomb-throwing incident --- by one of their own --- into a joke, just another reason to sneer at the President. If anybody threw a cream pie at Obama, screaming headlines would be launched for days afterward. Nothing but sneers followed the potential attack on George W. Bush, which he fended off with his usual grace and humor. I have never known a US president to be treated as disgracefully as this one. The political case against him is based almost entirely on media falsehoods, slanders, and greed for power. Not much rationality there.

Our public melodrama is therefore being driven, not by facts and reason, but by the most primitive emotions that prey on human minds. Human  brains haven't changed much in the last thirty thousand years. Homo sapiens is a lot more prosperous species than ever, but prosperity just allows those ancient demons to come out more freely. If we were huddled by a small fire in a cave, hungry and miserable, we could not indulge our fantasies as much as the pop media now allow themselves to do. Prosperity permits our primitive urges to flourish on the public stage.

President George W. Bush is being crucified in the public square in spite of his plain decency and goodness, and in spite of his remarkable success in winning two difficult wars to protect this nation from harm. All wars are hard; all wars involve mistakes and self-correction. All wars, if they are to be won, come at a cost.
