Macon County Begins Budget Process for 2017-2018

County Commissioners Boardroom

The Macon County Commissioners met with the county manager and various department heads for a mid-year review and budget kickoff meeting on Friday afternoon.

Here is the 2017-2018 Budget Calendar as presented to the board at the meeting:

Prelim meeting with Dept Heads

Depts complete line item budget input 
and return hard copy requests and narratives

March 24, 2017
County Manager reviews printed line item budget

Schools and outside agencies submit budget requests

May 9, 2017
Manager's recommended budget presented to Commissioners with message;
