At about 6:35 am this morning, West Macon Fire Department responded to report of a fire and associated power outage near 1300 North Jones Creek Road.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find an energized power line in the roadway and stood by until a repair crew from Duke Energy could arrive.
Firefighters report only one span is down and Duke Energy reports they expect to restore service to the 2 impacted customers by 10:00 am this morning.

**Update** 8:00 am
Duke Energy has raised the number of customers impacted by this outage to 140. The time of restoration is still 10:00 am. An updated map of the area without service is posted below.
