Daily Weather Briefing for Wednesday, August 22, 2018

SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF THE FRANKLIN TOWN COUNCIL

The Franklin Town Council had a Special Called Meeting last night. JEPACA, Inc withdrew their street closing request, the council approved a barking dog ordinance and the board met in closed session from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm and passed a resolution to hold a public hearing regarding granting an Economic Development Grant to a business concern they code-named “Project Wayah.” A copy of that will be added once Macon Media has digitized the physical copy provided at the meeting. Video of the meeting is available on the blog. [LINK]

LOCAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

High pressure will build into the region today, and should then control our weather through Saturday as it moves past to the north, giving us a brief break from the usual summertime weather. An upper ridge will move east over the region on Sunday, bringing hot and humid weather back for the better part of next week.
