Justin Setser Appointed Interim Town Manager Effective June 7th



During last night's budget work session, after a closed meeting, the Franklin Town Council appointed Justin Setser to be the interim town manager upon Summer Woodard's resignation in June. She has accepted a position as town manager of Reidsville, North Carolina. An excerpt from the meeting is posted below and the full video will be published later today. You can watch it ahead of time on Youtube.

Justin Setser is a native of Macon County. Upon graduation from Franklin High School Justin attended Haywood Community College, receiving an Associates Degree in GIS/GPS Technology in 2006. Justin was the former GIS Analyst for Macon County. Justin is a Franklin Fire Department Captain and served on the Town Planning Board and Board of Adjustment prior to his appointment as Town Planner. Justin is a North Carolina Certified Zoning Official (CZO) and a 2018 graduate of the Rural economic development Institute. He has also completed the UNC school of government County and Municipal Administration course for managers and department heads. Justin is proud to be an Eagle Scout. Justin is married to Kara and they have a daughter.
