Weather Briefing for Sunday, December 26, 2021

Here is a truncated weather briefing for today.

General Outlook

Expect mostly dry conditions to continue tonight, with the exception of the western North Carolina mountains where isolated to scattered showers are possible in moist westerly upslope flow ahead of an approaching cold front. The front, and associated upper-level disturbance, will move off the East Coast today, resulting in diminishing winds. Temperatures will be well above normal through the middle of next week. The next frontal system, with increasing rain chances, may approach from the west on Wednesday and linger in the area through late week.
