This segment features a request made by Tommy Jenkins, the Macon County Economic Development Director, for permission to apply for a grant from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) Broadband Infrastructure Program. Permission from the county commissioners is needed due to a requirement for a public-private partnership from the granting agency. Commissioners approved by a vote of 5-0.
