Here is the news and weather briefing for Macon County.

GENERAL OUTLOOK

Another reinforcing cold front crossed the region last night and brought a brief increase in moisture that will continue through early this morning over the mountains, permitting some light snow in the higher elevations. Dry high pressure will then allow temperatures to warm up through late in the week, before active weather returns for the weekend as a cold front is expected to approach from the northwest.
