A dry cold front will arrive from the north later today, ushering in cool high pressure through Friday. An area of low pressure is forecast to develop over the Gulf of Mexico during the weekend, then move northeast up the East Coast early next week. Heavy rainfall and windy conditions will be possible along and near the track of this low pressure system Sunday into Monday.
