Daily Weather Briefing for Sunday, October 6, 2019






Outlook

Much cooler temperatures will dominate the local weather pattern this week. Another cold front will slowly cross the region late Monday into Tuesday, which may bring a little rain to some of the region while reinforcing a cool and dry pattern for much of the latter half of next week.

State Legislature

The state legislature will not be meeting today.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 3pm. Patchy fog before 8am. High in the mid-70s. For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. A non-tropical low pressure system is expected to develop over the North Atlantic between Bermuda and the Azores in a couple of days. Gradual development of this system is possible thereafter, and a tropical or subtropical depression could form by the middle of the week while the low moves generally westward.

* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.

2. Another non-tropical low pressure system is forecast to develop over the western North Atlantic between Bermuda and the east coast of the United States by the middle of the week. This low is expected to move slowly northward to northeastward after it forms, and some subtropical or tropical development is possible thereafter.

* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.
