Outlook

Windy conditions will redevelop today through tonight, especially across the higher mountains. Dry high pressure will persist to our east on Thursday before a low-pressure system arrives from the west with modest moisture on Friday. The low-pressure system will move off to the southeast, with a cold front settling southward across the region by Saturday. Moisture will gradually return from the west during the latter half of the weekend through early next week.

Weather Hazards

Hazardous weather is not expected today.

A significant two or three day cold snap for the middle of December is currently showing up in the computer models, so if you haven't already arranged for heating fuel or firewood to be delivered before, then, now would be a good time to do it.

**Note** A Tropical Weather Outlook section has been added to the daily weather briefing for the Atlantic Hurricane Season, and since those tend to run long when there is activity, that section has been added between the daily forecasts for the four regions of the county and the almanac section so people can get to their daily forecasts with minimal interference.
